Media aren't fans for the most part, and fans I know see this as a down year, covid , injuries and a necessary year to lose some cap restrictions.
- onesmallleap

Well you're on a fan site and many disagree. WTF does covid have to do with it? We weren't in a playoff spot before it hit, and aren't afterwards. Same with EP's injury.

Also, all teams deal with injuries. I've already went on about how Covid may have actually benefitted us with making the playoffs last year.

Do we have any excuses for next season yet? I'm all ears. IF they make the playoffs and get eliminated first round is that considered a resounding success? Not in my opinion after 8 years of rebuilding.

An honest question, did anyone not think the Sedin's wouldn't eventually be involved in some capacity with the team, eventually?
- Reubenkincade

Great question. I hope that they are given the opportunity to learn the job and it’s not just a PR Hail Mary.

Other than the brutal double negative, i agree. This should be a shock to no one. Glad they are startimg low in their roles.
- neem55

Well, of all people to bring up this type of stuff. I can't remember the last time I seen you post without at least one spelling mistake and improper English.

Matthews was a 19 year old rookie, scored 4 goals his first game. I mean if you're going to use a 32 game sample why not shorten it to 1?

I can't believe you're actually trying to compare the two. EP on pace for 80 points but Mathews 63 points......in 62 games. At the same age as EP's rookie season.

Matthews is over a PPG career and more than half are goals. You're asking me to be smart?

- golfingsince

He's quite the playoff performer too, or no wait. That's EP. I thjnk you're right hes better, i also don't think EP isnt too far off in terms of skill and could end up in that top10 tier.

Covid threw people's lives all out of joint , how it affected guys preparation for the season , the mixed up schedule, our guys didn't come out of the gate ready to go . Our goalies really started slow and the defense seemed ill prepared, the hate towards JB and the love for TG seems off , coaching should have done things to get better results.

Of all former Canucks, I actually think Daniel and Henrik are best suited to hold down the top jobs in the organization.

I write on my phone and rarely edit my spelling. Double negative is a grammar issue, wasn't really casting stones but it did make your sentence not make any sense at first

I agree, as long as they are given the opportunity to grow into their roles, and not as sacrifices to the gods of good publicity.

Team is too small, not enough enforcers. Needs Matt Martin and every other big useless player.

I would even say most of the time, that one just made me read it a few times. Spelling is a bit less important than logic/grammar imo. But hey, to each their own!
