Campbell on Andersen: Freddy's always there if I have a question, just being a great, great teammate so I can't couldn't ask for a better partner.

You really think Price would say the same about Allen?
Absolutely not. - Atomic Wedgie
True but the way Freddy has played this season (and last) he is looking at a massive hair cut, he has no choice but to be nice. If he doesn't play in the playoffs - which he shouldn't he can probably play for his favorite team next year that doesn't have a goalie for a Spezza-like contract (without the Spezza-like returns)

Why would Price ask Allen a question though?
What could he possibly learn from a lowly backup?!? - Scabeh
I was assuming Campbell's questions to Andersen were things like:
- hey, can you get me another water bottle?
- did you pick up my dry cleaning?
- did you remember your Leafs baseball hat for game 1 of the playoffs? |

Crazy dip in Ontario COVID numbers:
May 10: 2,716 cases
May 11: 2,073
May 12: 2,320
May 13: 2,759
May 14: 2,362
May 15: 2,584
May 16: 2,199
May 17: 2,170
May 18: 1,616
May 19: 1,588
It seems like such a shame we are going to blow all this momentum when idiots gather in large groups this long weekend.
Oh well, I guess we can stay locked down forever, right? - Atomic Wedgie
No Wedgie,
I have been assured the 3rd wave was all essential workers, between 20-40 living in hotspots and schools. Spikes that occur after each holiday are coincidence. Increased mobility data from cell phones during these periods are also misleading. Schools also having lower case counts that the genpop is meaningless. This has nothing to do with people ignoring the rules, nothing at all. |

We shouldn't be so hard on Freddy, he and Marincin could be valuable commodities in the off season. Any team hoping to land the right to select Shane Wright will need a few players like these in their lineup |

Not that this is untrue but some of you have really developed a hate for people.
One thing I hope people can let go leading away from this pandemic. |

It has been a struggle with a few people in my life who have been stupid or willfully ignorant throughout. Thankfully, there aren't too many of them. I have tried to just grin and bear it and hope this whole thing eventually blows over. |

Yeah there are jag offs for sure....Then there are people with wavering opinions that walk just over or below the line.
I think its been a problem with how much hate has been flowing around over some wavering differences of opinions on how to live during this.
Its turned some good people I used to know into bitter people. They haven't even stopped at views on the pandemic...They now get angry if you don't toast your bread the same as them.
Its been a year and a half...I just thing its time to let go of what others are doing because at this point no one is changing...its been long enough that eacother have developed their beliefs and there is no more changing. |

I bet my buddy the Leafs will sweep. He's a Leaf fan. If the Habs win a game, (frank) it. But if I'm right, my buddy is gonna eat sweet poop four games in a row. |

Well just got notified from the mountain top that my company that the "earliest return to the office would be in late September if it's deemed safe at that time". BOOOYA!
They have also apparently learned that most (not necessarily me lol) of their people can be as or more productive from home as they are in the office. They have also learned that they can save a poop tonne of cash if they reduce their real estate footprint in downtown Toronto and to that end they have said they are shifting to a "hybrid work model" for teams where it works with a minimum of 3 days in the office / 2 remote post the return to the office.
Quite certain the CEO is why they are saying you have to be in the office for 3 days a week, he's an old school "must be in the office to be working" person although he is smart enough to say it's because that breeds more creativity and collaboration but everyone knows it just that he hates knowing people are at home vs at the office.
So summer good - when safe to return only 2 days a week at home
But 2 days at home per week is better than none I guess but adjusting to the commute into the city and home 3 days a week again is going to suck big time. That's about 4 hours of my day I'm not getting back - looks like I'll be taking alot of conference calls and reading reports etc. on the GO Train!
If our CEO wasn't so hell bent on getting people back in the office I'm not sure if we would even be going back to the office this calendar year. I'm hearing the big businesses who occupy huge chunks of the towers in downtown Toronto told their folks already "next year earliest" months ago and even at that they will be encouraging those who want to and can to work from home full time.
The entire model for so many companies has shifted due to the pandemic and to me the ability to better balance home/work life is one small positive from this poopty whole experience.
Anyhow that's enough off topic blabbering!
Price going ape poop and smashing a stick after being so/so in his AHL appearance makes me happy and hopeful he is in his own head and that the Leafs can get some early ones on him and really get him doubting himself.
Go Leafs Go! |
