That's being generous. .815 save% - JohnScammo
100%. He redeemed himself last game after spotting the pens two goals then came out and laid an egg again. Can’t spot any goals in the playoffs I don’t care how great you play after you do it. |

Whelp, the third period gave the blueprint for how these guys should play from here out. They did their best when they crowded the net and threw some pucks in from odd angles looking for redirects or tips.
Clutter's two goals highlight why we miss Anders so much. The Pens appear vulnerable to physical play in front of the net. This was a good game save for some unfortunate mistakes and a rough night for Varly. Hopefully it became a series now that theres some bad blood. |

Well they got pucks in and established zone time and worked the pens down low. Sorokin has to start the next game .815 ain't cutting it |

The Isles are much better when they are ahead.
What was disappointing to me tonight was how the Pens responded immediately. Every time the Isles scored the Pens buried another goal. |

Gotta give the reins to SOrOkin.
Islanders need the win Saturday and we have a best of 3. |

Judging by some of the posts here here I’ll assume most will disagree but this team just hasn’t had it since game one imo. Lots of individualism out there as far as I’m concerned. Terrible passing. Bad defense at times I thought Pelech and Pulock got roughed up a bit tonight. Step behind most of the time. I thought for how important this game was they came out pretty flat that to me is unacceptable. |

Absolutely. Team couldn’t button it up. More of the islanders playing bad then the pens playing good imo. |

Varly cost them the game tonight. I thought Varly should be 1a, but I think he is still hurt and Sorokin should take over. |

We had this discussion during the break. Its not easy to turn it up when coming into the post season in a slump. The Pens were hot and the Isles were not. I'm kinda surprised they won the first game.
Disclaimer:
I don't think the Isles are done. I like the snarl they displayed towards the end of the game. My prediction is the winner of game 4 wins the series. |

Yes, he has too. Jarry outplayed Varly the last two games and Barry’s gotta go with SOrOk1n to change it up. |

I like the physicality they showed also but where was it for the last eight periods? Team isn’t playing the way they should be imo. If you need something to get you up for a playoff game then you aren’t going to win. They have to play like that consistently against the pens. It’s the only way you beat them and the only way we play good. We’re letting them play their game. |
