Weird because the Flames are exactly where they should be. You are what your record says you are and the Flames record says you're one salty female dog |

There's no denying the talent Eichel has.
But the injuries, the lack of results and the complaining mixed with his 10M pricetag.....
Don't get me wrong, I'd welcome him with open arms.
But it's not like this guy comes without baggage.

You gamble on a talent like Eichel. If insurance will back the contract after the surgery it's a no brainer to me.
And yeah, Caufield +++++++++ would be the price. Habs may struggle to meet the price frankly |

In football Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Russell Wilson come with baggage. I'll take baggage if it comes with elite, world class talent. |

By "you" I meant a smart person/team. So you're correct, nearly no chance the Habs do it |

The question becomes with Eichel minus Caufield minus whoever else would we be in a place to make the playoffs next season when we are back in the regular division ? |

i kind of feel like anytime the planet's ready it should go ahead and purge. i actually think it's kind of running late for it at this point. |

Give me what you think is a massive overpayment for Eichel and I'd bet I wouldn't flinch at saying yes |

So Drouin Is done In Montreal, Wonder what's going on there. - Shady1962
I'm pretty sure most Habs fans are tired of the Drouin saga, before this all began. And as I posted in another thread, because of our growing dislike and frustration for Drouin's play, we have probably been overly critical or mocking of his absence from the team than is warranted (myself included).
The reality is if this Gallagher, no one woulda said anything close to what has been said of Drouin. If anything at all.
His on ice performance (or lack there of) is fair criticism though.
End of the day, likely better for the player and the team if Drouin moves on over the summer. |

The risk of his injury/his health + the cost to trade for him make it a really risky proposition.

Prolly what BUF will ask for, Caufield + Poehling + 1st and 2nd round pick
I would not have make the trade knowing what his health issue is |
