but i'll believe that when i see the one they've been threatening us with in stratford, nj for a couple years without an ounce of cement being poured yet. - kicksave856

sounds to me like he's just looking to get the (frank) out of Buffalo - DoubleDown
I think that is the actual name of the surgical procedure, getmethefukoutofbuffalo. |

To get to your earlier question would you do Suzuki, CC, Romanov and Drouin to balance the money a bit for Eichel?
I think that s what Buffalo might ask for in an in division trade and I'd say (frank) off. Too much trade value imo to take on 10 million for an injured player. I'm content to see how Suzuki develops. - apex123
Whatever the price ends up being negotiated as, my point was it'll be expensive and I'd still probably pay it. We can agree to disagree on that. |

It reached +30°C (86.5°F) in the Arctic today. Hotter than pretty much all of Europe right now.
We all gonna die.. - AGalchenyuk27
So you are saying it was a hot summer there this year.

I don't know if they do.
But it's worth thinking over for sure. - Scabeh

Would you do that package though that I mentioned? Don't get me wrong I wouldnt be opposed to putting a big package together centered around either Suzuki or Caufield, but I don t think we should be giving up both and/or Romanov. |

Need to let some guys go and have their spot filled with our young players at some point.
I'm starting to think both Tatar and Danault will walk.

I think as a centre it would have to be Suzuki++. Caulfield looks like the real deal but centres are worth far more.
Maybe Suzuki, Romano or Allen and a first would do it. |

I'd probably have to dig into it and all that, try and negotiate around it but ultimately, yeah I probably would. Eichel is that good |

I think we can assume that Tatar will walk. much easier to replace him than Danault.
Caufied and Poehling will make the team. another busy summer for MB.

Tough decisions ahead.
But in the logic of what I said, aka building for the core to come.
It makes sense not to tie up too much money into guys that won't be part of that.

between 1998 and 2008, missed 9 times, lost in the frst round once.

Suzuki, Romanov, Drouin (for money) and a first would make me think long and hard. If it was any other d prospect besides Romanov I wouldn't hesitate, I'd probably say no though. |

Fair enough. I'd probably draw the line at they're not getting CC and Suzuki. I'd consider combinations involving one of either though. |

that's what people don't understand. sucking for 10 years and drafting very high doesn't mean you will succeed. Chicago did well but many other teams didn't. |

Well that's the thing.
So many great players were not even in the NHL at 20 years old.
But we're here predicting KK will amount to a third line centre because he's having a rough time since Staal showed up.
KK will be great, trading him while he costs nothing would be a mistake.
Habs need to focus on the big picture: Win when KK, Suzuki, Caufield, Harris, Guhle, Primeau, Poehling, Norlinder, etc. are the ones considered the core of this team.
Just like they came close with the Subban, Price, Pacioretty, Markov core in 2014. - Scabeh
At this point, I could see Kotkaniemi turning into something like a Mikko Koivu type player. Koivu arrived in the NHL at 22 years old, after developing in the Liiga and spending a season in the AHL
At 20 years old, it's way too early to throw the towel. Doesn't take away the fact that I don't like how they handle his development |

yep. pretty obvious he won't be a Barzal, but Koivu... Barkov at best. patience. |
