I see KK as a second line centre at around 12-15 goals max with his 2 second release and 40 to 50 points. Not bad for a late first/early second rounder.
Not good for 3rd overall

Drouin contract + Tatar contract if he leaves. I like Tatar but better to get someone with more size. Also I think if we get a top 4 d via trade Chiarot will be the one to go the other way with other picks

that's what people don't understand. sucking for 10 years and drafting very high doesn't mean you will succeed. Chicago did well but many other teams didn't.

yep, you need to pick very high and very often because you won't hit for 1000. and be lucky to win the lottery on a good year.

or draft very well in later rounds, like some teams seem able to do.

that's one way to do it. I prefer the other option, like BOS. they did not tank, they didn't pick top 5 often, and yet are always good. like some other teams WHO DRAFT VERY WELL.
