Nothing official yet but it sounds like Travis Green and the #Canucks have agreed on an extension. Working on the rest of the coaching staff |

Laugh it up all you want. Sutter has been a good solider here for 6 seasons and probably helped Bo transition into becoming a captain. It was a public cheap shot by Bo. - Nucker101
what do you think JB/FA will get for schmidt and Bo. personally, i'm not in favour of trading them but you seem to have the pulse of the organization and agree with it so what types of assets should we expect back?
you think the sedins will be involved in trade discussions? you mentioned that if they're hired, it's guaranteed that edler will be re-signed so i take it that they'll be involved in player personnel decisions. it's going to be interesting to watch. |

Bo will be calmed down by his mentor, Henrik. Anything for Schmidt shirt if a cap dump coming back is a win, if you get back that third that’s a great deal. I only mentioned Edler specifically since he’s close with the Sedins, I don’t expect them to be heavily involved regarding players they’re unfamiliar with. |

Hopefully they bring in players with skill sets to help him out. |

Was it Nate Schmidt that didn't show up for the exit meetings? - VanHockeyGuy
He and Miller didn't get along. Miller doesn't get along with many. I haven't seen any Miller comments either |

Less Schmidt types who make risky plays like standing up at their blueline and moving the puck too quickly and more conservative types like Myers, Edler
Dmen who are comfortable with Green’s strategy to live with a shooting gallery from the perimeter but protect the net |

you mentioned the other day that they (sedins) would make sure that edler got a multi-year deal for their "boy" (your words.)
how many years you think and what types of numbers? someone mentioned league minimum-ish but you said no way that the sedins would do him dirty like that. i'm interested to see what you think to gauge how the cap will be.
schmidt for a cap dump being a trade win is a pretty bold statement from you. just to be clear (and for minivan's book), i disagree. |

I don't like the way the Canucks play defence or transition the puck. I hope for new players that won't listen to Green and do their own thing to improve the on ice play.
Probably why Schmidt is out and played less, didn't listen to the coach much. |

i'm starting to think that you don't want any physicality. standing up at the blue line? moving the puck quickly?
heeeeeeeeeeey, wait a minute? are you being sarcastic with your benning support?

Rathbone has more than proven that he can step in and replace Schmidt.
Knowing that they have their leaders back both in the front office and behind the bench is going to provide the players with so much more incentive to work hard over the summer and show up for one the most successful training camps in recent memory. There is already, so much to look forward to for next season. |

Those bubble playoffs were the worst thing that could have happened to this organization
Imagine rewarding a coach who develops a system where you allow the
most shot attempts against
Most odd man rushes against
Worst neutral zone defense

Similar cap hit, 1 or 2 years(Edler’s choice with a full NMC).
Schmidt turning his back on this organization by skipping out on the exit meetings means he’s not invested here, addition by subtraction. We got one year of him, that was fair value for a 3rd rounder |

JB should be able to get a late round pick for Schmidt if he's lucky.

Seems like a terrible way to run a team. I want players who fit into Green’s vision, like Myers and Edler. Hughes can be the one and only rover |

The on ice play never seems to mimic what he talks about when asked about how he wants the team to play. |

Myers has been exposed pretty badly in Greens system for the past two seasons. Edler has always been the same, he is just slower now. |

No, those things sound good on the surface level but lead to costly mistakes, we can play that way once the core matures, not yet.
Standing up at the blueline leads to potential for getting beat and giving up a clean breakaway.
Moving the puck too quickly from your own zone to unsuspecting forwards leads to turnovers and icing calls(Schmidt did it many times this year).
Myers and Edler played the right way that Green wanted |

everybody playing their own system. genius! the defense won't know how to cover 5 systems operating at the same time. |
