Hope so and agreed. When they’re playing the way we all know they can they can beat anyone.

I concur the let's hope they play that way on the road and bring it back up 3 2

It would be great if they could come back to the barn with a chance to close it out. Even with limited fans the barn would be rocking.

Joe Thornton and his hillbilly beard is just silly. Looks like a character from moonshiners. What a slob.

It felt like Pierre Mcquire never left with Boucher and Olczyck for yesterday’s game. So clearly biased in their opinions it was embarrassing. Boucher debating that the call on mayfield was a good call when it was actually a great play on crosby. Cringe worthy stuff

Glad to see Trotz start Sorokin. I believe he should comeback in Game 5 with him. He appears to be in the zone and able to handle to the pushes by the Pens.

Would like to see Barzal be a little more selfish.

I still believe isles can take this series if they play their style of game.

Game 5 is huge...IF they can steal that one...It makes for a great storyline for game 6 at the old barn.

Capt I have to agree with you regarding Boucher. Not sure what he distaste for Islanders is? Olczyck started to even it out as game moved on. But from a broadcast point of view. It is all about the Pens. Boucher was questioning every penalty not called on isles. Not one word about how dirty the Pens truly are.

We as Islander fans can let Boucher know...twitter handle

sOrOkin played well and made the saves he needed to. Wish he would have gotten the shutout. He and the team deserved it.
The team played a complete Islanders Hockey game yesterday in all 3 zones. Probably the most complete game in a while. The Pens in whole didn’t generate much off the rush as the Islanders play in the neutral zone and gap was much better. This helped minimize high scoring chances with The Islanders reversing what the Pens had done to them the last couple games.
In the D zone the Islanders seemed to move the puck sharper and quicker generating cleaner exists. Easing the pressure of The Pens forecheck, helping the Islanders generate speed through the neutral zone and establishing a forecheck of their own. This was obviously lacking in games 2 and 3.
When The Pens did have a push the Islanders kept the chances mostly to the outside with not many second chances in the kitchen.
There is no reason to believe Trotz won’t start Ilya in game 5. He deserves it.
As you said game 5 is huge and if they take it, The Barn / Fort Never Lose will be shaking.
That said the series is even and game 5 is going to be a war.

That first save by Sorokin on Kapanen set the tone imo. First time in two games we didn’t give up a goal on the first shot. Wonder if we would be up 3-1 right now if he were in every game? Kid was great.

Game 3 I think we would have won with average goaltending but you never know. Like Barry said sorokin had played in world championships, the Olympics and won it all in the KHL so we aren't exactly throwing him to the wolves he's been there. Also with both wins with him in net I'd say it's his job to lose right now
