Hopefully Benning gives Tampa a cal and finds out the asking price

Every team will my bet. TB is in a cap hurt but still good talent that’ll fetch a solid return.

getting back to holtby, you haven't said a number range as to how many games he'll get next season. and if that will be enough to get back to playing well and earning his contract?

or does JB just think that it's easier to buy him out?

Krak will probably take him if Canucks don't add any players prior to e-draft.

TB and Col will have some quality available, good teams to target

Seattle might pick him, we’ll see. I expect around 30-35 games, maybe he’ll learn to adjust to a lesser role now that he’s done it for a couple of years. More work with Clark or another goalie coach should help too with eased off covid restrictions
- Nucker101

in your opinion, does he re-gain his form to justify his contract?

my opinion is that seattle doesn't pick him. do you think they will? might doesn't mean anything. they might pick louie too. do you think they will is my question.

as to play, i think this is where he is in his career. he'll play well for a few games. and average to poor the rest. what's you're opinion? what he "could" do is not what i'm asking. i'm asking your opinion as to how you think he'll perform.

The problem with searching Tampa and Colorado for players is that they don't have to make any trades just because of the expansion draft. They could just let Seattle take a player and then be done with it, rather than trade away a good young player and still have Seattle take a player. They could very well figure losing one is better than two... or just make a side trade with Seattle to dump someone.

I don't think either team is going to be over eager to lose a good player to another team and have Seattle take another player. If the Canucks had a plethora of exempt players I could see it, but they don't.

Yup.
Like most big kids who are growing into their size, you will see some flaws, but he will be a fantastic defenseman. Imo.

Any chance that could happen?

Maybe something involving Graves.

I really think using Hughes as a rover RSD would open up more pairing options. Whether via trade or UFA’s.

I really wish Hughes wasn't on the team.

Too dynamic to move him. The need for top RHD partner is a must.

Not disagreeing with those points, but an attitude adjustment would also help.
He has on a few occasions, disputed his atrocious defensive play, when questioned about it. Not a good look in my opinion.

not gonna disagree.

no one wants to listen but there needs to be a culture change on this team.

the vets brought in didn't and aren't helping.

but i'm going to get called a whiner for saying that at times some of these guys behave like whiny little kids (which is what some of them are just by virtue of age lol.)

Some points about potential buyouts, which are legit.
