Its very understandable that the coaching and management will not be liked over years of losing.

There was outside feedback sought from Courtnall and Sedins. Who very well could have also conducted confidential feedback interviews with staff and players. Whatever the process, constructive change was deemed possible with JB/Green.

So fans can either observe if the path leads to winning or drop out and lob bombs on another franchise.

I don't think you're familiar with consulting practises. Whoever provided feedback the decision from the review process is evident. That organizational improvement was possible with retaining JB/Green.

Playoff format changes:

Top 3 teams each divisions make the playoffs.
8 teams best of 3 playins
Other 12 teams get a week rest break.
Division winners against play in winners.
2 vs 3 inter-division in the other 4 series.
Reseeded after 1st round Best vs Worst each conference etc


Remaining 12 teams are in the lottery.
Top 2 picks lottery. Cannot move up more than 10 places. Same rules as now. Playin losers seeded 13 thru 16.

That may be true though apart from MG its not meddling when ownership brings you in. To advise some due diligence is needed. Getting confidential feedback is a known tool.
