Up to 12 more meaningful playin games would generate more revenues that only the owners get. It removes meaningless games late in the season like we just watched let alone eg the Sabres etc.

To tell you the truth, I am feeling fairly optimistic this off-season. I really believe that all the negative press and the fans voicing their displeasure was heard by the owners, who have reconsidered what direction and how the team is managed.
Sure they kept the current management, but I hope they gave clear direction to change course and do what needs to be done.
We will see over the next 6 weeks or so, if it was bs or if they are sincere about it.
