The coaching staff has not been renewed with Green. They are going to evaluate them. A bit of hope for change. - manvanfan

Beagle? Roussel? - manvanfan
Possibly. My guess is 2 out of this list:
Eriksson
Virtanen
Beagle
Roussel
And a potential Schmidt and/or Holtby trade.
That opens up a nice bit of cap flexibility to improve the roster this summer |

I’m guessing some of the 2022 UFA’s will be on the buyout list.
Allows Benning to maybe make a trade with a deeper team like Colorado or Tampa before the ED or sign a quality UFA to a reasonable deal thanks to the deflated flat cap market. - Nucker101
That seems a very likely or viable plan. |

For all (JB included) debating the merits of covid being an excuse for the season, the season was over by then already. They had a little streak to make it look more respectable, but that was going to even itself out.
The season was lost in the off-season when JB broke the cardinal rule - if it ain't broke don't fix it. Keep Tanev (for Hughes alone) and keep Toffoli instead of Schmidt and Holtby.

Your point of view might change if they were personal friends with no underlying conditions and were under 55. Give that some thought. - VanHockeyGuy
For sure man. I don’t judge you for your beliefs. My closet buddies in AZ are all ex NFL players and they all think COVID is a hoax. Do I agree? Of
Course not but I don’t judge them. They have their reasoning for their beliefs and they are good people |

I’m hoping for LE and JV bought out.
Beagle LITR.
Roussel traded.
Miller traded.
Holt by to Kraken. |

Beagle is a gamer, I don’t see him calling it quits unless the docs basically insist ala Ferland.
Miller was literally named as a core player by FA today. |

Do you seriously think Kraken will take Holtby?
I would think they will look at anyone else but Holtby, unless they get some type of sweetener with it. |

#1 to the unknowledgeable (you are the supreme leader of) facts are made up to what you believe.
#2 blind hate by you of well thought out, grounded criticism dismisses your made up so called facts.
#3 your hate does liberate you from seeing the truth.
#4 being the supreme leader of the dumbassess you would think you wouldn’t be such a arrogant, dipstick. - Nuckerwhatever

6 possible players that they need to get rid of according to you.
Saying someone is a potential for a buyout doesn't mean you want them here.
6 players out of a 25ish player roster.
When can JB be extended? |

I don't get why all the hate for Miller lately. I mean I admit, he seems like a bit of a douche on the ice body language wise ... seemed a bit full of himself this year after having a great year last year. But like we don't have a lot of gamebreakers and he is definitely one of them. |

"We want to add speed and depth to our forward group. Some of the players were going to take the next step in their development. Some of the 23/24-year-old guys that we thought would keep moving forward and taking more responsibility, didn't happen, that's on me." -Jim Benning
"We need more speed upfront. When Vasily Podkolzin is done with the World Championships we will get him signed. We need to add some speed and veteran leadership to our scoring group." -Jim Benning on wanting to be a 3-line scoring team

Expensive free agent or trade coming for another Miller type. |

It'll be the media's fault just like the foreshadowing with Schmidt in a few days/weeks/months.

Holtby seems like the type who plays better with a workhorse workload and he only has one year left. I don’t see why he would be considered by Seattle. What other goalies with his pedigree will be available to them? |

No hate.
He’s a good player, which is why I want to read him and his reasonable contract for a top4 D ideally.
He reminds me of Kesler.
Selfish and moody.
Not the kind of guy you win with imo. |

Sutter and Roussel were solid before injuries. Virtanen was due to off ice issues. Schmidt is an asset. Holtby is movable |

So the guy who's only great GM attribute is drafting, failed at that, and now he has to use his weakest skillsets to make up for that while being constrained by his own cap problems?

1. Flat cap was not expected and could not have been recited years in advance
2. Some of those "failed" signings were quality players before injuries derailed their careers, Sutter/Roussel/Ferland and then the Virtanen off-ice mess could not have been predicted
