I don’t buy into the Rielly hysteria either
- Canada Cup

Rielly wasn’t good this season. He’s been the best D so far, though.

To be fair it was the PP and it wouldn’t have been Hutton it would have been Rielly. Probably the same outcome.

He did look slow and I thought he might sit, but he’s in.

I’m cheering for the (frank)er!!!!

- Garnie

Four people messed up on that goal. His was not the most egregious. Sitting him for Dermott would have been, let’s say, counterproductive

Id say move Hyman to line 3 and maybe throw Giraffe up on line 1. He’s been hot and fast enough to keep up and get to the net to screen.
- Roadrunner75

Hyman seems to like to shoot now and try and score. Put the HEM line back together move someone else to line 1....not Joe but someone 🤣

This Marner hate reminds me of the trade Marner chatter all summer, before he proceeded to be 4th overall in NHL scoring.

2 goals - looked super slow ( against 2 pretty fast guys, I get that )

I like him but I thought he may sit.

It took me awhile to find the Rielly hate train, but I'm having a hard time getting off of it now. He looks better and more engaged in the rush which is nice but his decision making with the puck has still been really bad.

You talking about Matthews wallet?

Marner loses his shiny highlight plays in the playoffs but still seems relatively effective. I don't see what you guys see but have at it.

- UsernameUnknown

The vast majority of offensive chances for easily our most significant scoring line have single handily died on his stick, a good portion of which resulted in the puck going the other way.

Sandin gets all the hate for getting torched when the most experienced guy on the team completely hung him out to dry leaving him flat footed and expected to make it up, yet someone who is actually supposed to be a difference maker on the team is a complete (frank) up every time he steps on the ice and its all good. Hmm 🤔

Yeah. Thinking that would work. Could move Foligno up or back to wing and slide Kerfoot to 2C then.

Wouldnt have that whole 3 winger coverage thing Bieksa was just talking about

Willy was in no mans land, spinning around wondering what he should do and where he should go...he chose to do nothing.

On the PP goal, he was slow but the other three made actual mistakes. He’s better than Dermott

I mean in all fairness what's been done in the regular season counts for complete and total squat.

You think we'd all be good if Matthews didn't score once in this series? We'd all be like shhh you can't say anything about that cause he scored 41 goals in the regular season.

Ya, maybe.

I don’t mind Dermott either, plays pretty safe.

I thought the 1st game would be Sandin Dermott

After seeing that first HABS goal again it reminds us the detriment a player like Willy can be... just floating around, no contact, no shot blocks, nothing...

Didn’t Babs lose it on him after the playoffs one year?

Seems like a wild exaggeration but okay. Marner is by far the worst player in the series so far. Agreed. I hope they put him in the press box for game 3. Good luck and may god have mercy on his soul.

In all fairness, after four periods Nylander has brought more so far than Marner and Matthews.

Yep. He doesn’t know what he should be doing in his own end. Coaching? A little panic? Not paying attention in class cuz he’s busy looking at pics of himself with his shirt off?

Hyman looks out of place, He ain't doing the things he has become known for. Plays are dying off him, He's not battling on the boards. Put the HEM line together, Gally up with Matthew's & Marner & Kerfoot in the Middle of Foligno & Nylander.
