One powerplay out of how many?
Its bergevin! - Fakepartofme
Alright. That's fair. I'd still think that would be a pretty bad strategy but you can't put it past them. 🤷🏻♂️ |

It was a stupid play and an uncalled penalty.
What would call Kerfoot spearing Toffoli at the faceoff?
There's a million stuff not called on the ice, but then Ferlatt calls a "crosscheck" on KK because his stick broke while Rielly rammed past him.
So yeah, I think we're due to get calls our way in the third.
- Scabeh
you just made my point for me OH SO CLEARLY.
you know that you are going to get the calls in the third, not because you should - but because its the Habs... how could it possible not go the Habs way.
just ask yourself - how many times has Gallagher gotten away with a stupid cheap shot or dig... and then the other team is penalized.
now you are probably going to get the calls in the third... but you know full well you shouldn't.

Looool. Best minimizing of a guy breaking his stick cross checking another guy I have ever seen.
Toffoli has cross checked Kerfoot about 7 times on his own.
You guys have zero ground to whine about reffing, zero. With the amount of cheap stick work on that side it would be validated if there were a Hab in the box the full game. |

That was a terrible challenge asked by Bergevin.
It's about time Eric (frank)ing Ferlatt sees something else than Montreal penalties. Not that the ones called were unwaranted but jesus christ the Leafs get away with everything so far tonight...
Well aside from that "hooking" call on Hyman, which wasn't a penalty in my book. - Scabeh

What point? I just said there was plenty of uncalled stuff on both sides but somehow the Habs are the only ones getting called tonight.
When I say I expect some calls to go our way, it's because the NHL always does this. Try and even things out.
It has nothing to do with your tinfoil theories of the Habs getting preferencial calls for decades.

Hyman's hit on KK (which even the sportsnet guys thought should have been a penalty).
We could keep exchanging examples of uncalled stuff all night you know?

its not tinfoil at all... I'm talking about your fanbase belief or feeling of entitlement... you don't think that the NHL is evening the officiating up UNLESS the Habs come out on top... pure delusional entitlement. Bergevin has that same delusional believe - which comes from years and years of getting preferential treatment

I think the Leafs got away with a couple iffy trips, but the Habs also got away with some iffys. All of the actual Habs penalties were pretty clear infractions. You cant talk your way out of a guy breaking his stick on another player Hymans penalty was a joke. I expect a couple makeup calls to go the Habs way in the 3rd though. But the reffing has been almost fair. As good as we might get as far as playoffs are concerned. |

If they don't get rewarded a PP in the 3rd for their 25 hacks slashes and cross-checks, how many calls does 911 get... 🤷🏻♂️ |

I get how they have to call that.
But these kind of crosschecks happen 300 times during a game. The only difference there was the stick breaking, which happens.
Anyway, have a nice third!
