I see Scabeh's point in regards to all the onesided calls. Usually games aren't this lopsided, but still.
Seems the refs are letting the iffy stuff go and calling the easy penalties for now on both sides.
But yeah that KK one was pretty cut and dry.

Well Rielly was skating in a straight line, KK did the usual small crosscheck to slow him down (which happens 300 times per game) but the stick broke. It happens, they have to call it, but it's not different than the other 300 similar plays.

There's a million stuff not called on the ice, but then Ferlatt calls a "crosscheck" on KK because his stick broke while Rielly rammed past him.

The refs will be looking to even it up, Leafs need to be really careful. Those cross checking ones that KK got called for are pretty automatic. Doesn’t get called if the stick does break but it did, so it was. Same thing usually happens on a slash, I do find it weird considering how easily and randomly the sticks break these days. We’ll see if the Leafs can keep their cool in the 3rd.

He cross checked him so hard his stick broke. Trying to spin it any other way is madness.

It's a penalty regardless of whether his stick breaks or not, it's called cross checking. You don't cross check a guy with enough force to break a stick because you are wishing him good luck on his next shift.

This is just foreign to you because you guys can land 9 of those before the 10th gets called.
