Yes
Tells you about all you need to know.
Some may overvalue Miller, but that is a clear undervaluation. I guess nothing is as good as it seems when you view the world through negativity. |

I don't know. New coach, potentially a large revamp of the team due to all the changes, etc. I have no idea what we'll look like, so I lean towards the side of lower expectations. - Mtlca66
Any ideas about benchmarks for next season should really wait until we see what the big shake up is going to be.
But, provided they don't make any trades that make our usual roster weaker, I'd expect us to make the playoffs, but not really be a Cup contender.
My expectations this past season were solely for growth. As a team, but primarily individually for the youngsters. Playoffs would have been a pleasant reward for things going right, but not the goal. I think we saw a lot of that, but also a team that needs tweaking. |

I can almost guarantee that the rest of the league looks at K'Andre Miller and thinks the Rangers absolutely struck gold

Please explain to me how is trading Miller for Turcotte is being negative?? I had said to Jimbro LA adding in a pick would be a good trade. |

when you look at that Kings AHL team and see all those really good forwards, you really see that they need a franchise type defenseman to build around

To be as clear as i possibly can be here. i'm advocating for waiting to see exactly what we have in K'Andre because i think his potential ceiling is sky high. He's not the player i would trade for a positional need. Especially when the player we get in return has never played in the NHL, regardless of how promising he seems. Throwing in a pick doesn't help because that is another unknown |

Miller is almost in the untouchable category for me, I think he’s going to become a very good top pair dman once he adds some muscle |

I know what you are saying but say we dont pull the trigger and Turcotte turns out to be a player like Zibby?? There are always risks when trading young prospects but Turcotte has always performed no matter what team he has played for. Yes Miller did have a solid year too and put up some points, but he is a lefty and not as much a premium as a center is.
Truthfully it doesnt even matter cause we dont even know if the Rangers had any discussions for a trade anyway. Just spit balling. |

Skating: Eichel gets up ice faster than I expect, but he is far from natural, IMO. He could slow down significantly - Nothing wrong with Zib's skating. I take Zib.
Eichel currently has a very serious injury - Zib has history of concussions. Wash.
Contract: $10M for 6 more years. - Zib, at the highest what, $8.5-9 for about the same Zib.
Faceoffs (career avg): Eichel 44.2% - Zib: 49.4% Zib.
Intangibles: Eichel is a baby that blames management and coaches. - Zib is a teammate first, that wants to be part of a solution. Zib all day.
Conclusion: ZIB ALL DAY. - Tonybere

almost untouchable, that's how I would categorize it too
I would need to be blown out of my mind by the trade
that's why I say Turcotte isn't enough

Expansion money is not included in Hockey Related Revenue so it goes straight into the owners pockets.
the new tv deal IS included in that, but the expectation is that the cap won't go up until the league HRR hits about $4.5 Billion annually.
during the last full season it was $3.3 Billion. New tv deals alone boosts it to about $3.8 billion, but still a long way to go to make up for the amount that players are having to pay back to the league in escrow to keep it operating during this year and the bubble. |

For me Miller isnt untouchable in the right deal. I think Robertson is a stud as well and can slot in at LD. If another GM wants to overpay for Miller, Im all ears. |
