Interesting article by Mirtle on the Maple Leafs. There are definitely a lot of similarities between the Leafs and Rangers.

What it feels like the Leafs need to sort out, more than anything, is how they can improve their lot up front so that when the games get locked down by trappy opponents, they can still break through and score. Getting older and tougher didn’t help in that regard. If anything, it hurt as too few of the reinforcements could put the puck in the net.

They added Thornton, Simmonds, Foligno, & Nash, and none of them did anything for 7 games. Gonna be real interesting to see what path the Rangers take.

Rangers twitter is a subset of the fans that I hope to never interact with.

I do have to say, Tocchet's numbers as a head coach are quite lacking but he did spend a lot of time in Arizona which is a dumpster fire.

Either way, I don't hate it. Would be pleased with either Gallant or Tocchet.
