I agree with this for the most part. But AV did say several times throughout that interview that every other team had to go through basically the same thing. And they ended the interview early if I'm remembering correctly.

I'm also not trying to start an argument defending the media. Just wanted people to stop acting like nothing negative is written about the team.

i seriously doubt it. he feels pressure because a team that is supposed to be on the upswing, making the playoffs every season, missed again. not because of something the media is saying or writing.

I’d like to keep TK, even with the awful season he is on a good contract. What are we honestly going to get for Jake? I’m all for a complete tear down but it’s not going to happen.

Curious to what would be considered a shakeup? Who would have to be part of it? For example: I wouldn’t call it a shakeup realistically unless g or Jake are moved. Even then if it’s just say Jake and no one else I wouldn’t call that a shakeup. I would need 3 players in the top 9 (one of g or Jake part of the 3) or maybe some form of g/Jake another top 9 and a dman.

I think it’s more of bringing a new leader in, not a goofball like Kevin Hayes. Niskanen shook up the core a bit, a well established veteran that everyone respected in the room.

To get the shakeup a lot of people around here want, I agree. I think Jake would need to be taken in this draft.

Only reason I can possibly see it is he has 3 years left on his deal I think. Which for them is a good thing; players avoiding that team. Ghost has 2 and they have numerous free agent dman and not that many under contract. Ghost makes less in real dollars. OEL may want out; also they need draft picks after the Chayka fiasco.

Is it likely? No, just something to discuss as a base.

So lets say there is a lot of pressure. Well then these guys have failed on a consistent basis under pressure. Yet he is looking to resign them; already re-upped Laughton.

I am so looking forward to what ever changes are made; will swapping out 4th liners and bottom pair dman be the main change?
