What can the habs do to even make the playoffs next year/ That roster is really bad and they are stuck with it.

I probably would and regret it in the playoffs. Not that this is his fault, the sweep, but Matthews is hitting everything, scoring from everywhere, defensively sound, out to protect a lead... - gravyface
On this leafs team, McJesus would perform much better IMO.
But I would keep Matthews.
I'd trade Marner and Reily or Willie and Reily. Not sure the 2nd option gets it done but the 1st option may be too much cap going to the Oilers |

Im pretty sure you said the same about them this year.
And the Isles the past 4 years.
Dont care about next year, the Leafs have yet to eliminate them. The series isnt over. |

It's Florida so no one cares, but damn, Quennville has been a disaster picking his goalies in their series. |

Yeah, Domenic Ducharme or Barry Trotz... Habs don't have the best coach in the NHL

It's a can't lose game for the Habs though.
I can see them winning 1 of every 2 games and making it a coin toss in a game 7. Especially if Price keeps up the amazing play.
They'll need a little luck (weird bounce/deviation, rebound that finds a player, anything!) if they are to survive this.
If the Leafs take a 3-1 lead, there's close to zero chance the Habs win 3 straight.

Its a must win for the Leafs. Push that dagger in deeper, do not let the habs get any life into them.
Besides, its still the Leafs, a 3-1 series lead cant be safe for them. Its not the leafy way.
But I'd still prefer a 3-1 series lead |

If not for a lucky goal it could be 2-1 Habs, I wouldn’t get too cocky yet. We’ve seen what happens when we’re already hoisting the cup 2 wins into the playoffs. |

I think I've repressed some memories because I can't for the life of me remember anything bad happening to the Leafs in the 1st round.

Aside from game 2 where the Leafs dominated, the other 2 games could have gone either way.
Habs really need some sort of luck to go their way, scoring 4 goals in 3 games simply isn't enough.
Price must be so god damn tired of this. It's always the same story.

I've never seen a team win game 6 after a 4-1 lead.
I think that tells the whole story. |

I can't decide if I should be happy he's looking good out there or sad that he looks so alone trying to score.

Is there anyone denying that?
Leafs are hoping to win the cup.
Habs are hoping Price will somehow stop every shot and carry them as far as possible.
Expectations aren't the same.

He did look good.
I mostly just want him out of the lineup so that the announcers can stop having orgasms every time he touches the ice.
