Remember I laughed. That was me ending the argument.
I have never said Benning has never done anything wrong, I almost everyday say something he has done that I have disliked. - manvanfan
i didn't get that from the smiley/laughing face emoji. I will know that for next time. |

A host of clubs will open up to trading for what they might have lost in the expansion draft. |

sure... there will be pre and post e-draft deals. Kraken also will have 7 extra players to cut from their roster. |

I'm not so sure a lot of teams are going to. And if they are, it won't be for lesser/cheaper value.
Basically, the team trading a player will still lose a player to Seattle no matter what. So it'll have to be determined if losing 2 players + whatever they get back in a trade is better than just losing one player and moving on from it.
A lot of teams felt burnt by Vegas (rightfully so), so may just say "take a guy" and be done with it. |

Vancouver doesn't have a lot to offer other teams.
I wouldn't make a trade with Seattle. The trades are probably what made VGK who they are.
The picks to not take players as well were used in other trades. |

Exactly, I don't think Van will be able to swing a lot of trades for expansion expendable players. They can't offer a ton.
There's been a fair amount written about the trades that led to the Vegas team – especially as teams traded away guys to protect others who turned out to be not as good. Even look at Pittsburgh – their goalie situation sucks. Wonder how good Fleury would be in net for them?
I would be open to making a trade with Seattle to take Myers, though |

I don't expect Van to make any trades before hand and I don't see Van making more than 2 trades max after. |

So many coaches are available and once again Van did not interview any of them. |

Ethan Bear's girlfriend shared this post after she said he received racist messages on his social media - adding that he appreciates the love and support from everyone else.

Ethan Bear is a very good hockey player. Lift him up and he will be an integral part of any success the Oilers have in the future.
More importantly, Ethan Bear is an incredible human. If you’re sending racist remarks his way, you’re just a wienerhead. Hockey doesn’t want you.
That is really disappointing to hear.
I was looking at him for Van's back line next season. I think he's an NHL player that has a good future ahead of him. |

If what was posted earlier – hire back Brown and Baum and let Clarke go – is true, I think it will set the Canucks back a few years more. The coaching is terrible save for the goalie, so why do the opposite of what is logical? |

If Van misses the playoffs next year they'll all get fired anyway |

I would think anyone taking on Schmidt's cap will get a pick or have Canucks retain some salary.
Although I doubt that he gets moved this year, due to the lack of nhl calibre defensemen this team has, even if him and Myers are only #4 calibre.

How many high draft picks do they need before they stop needing high draft picks? If the direction of being a terrible team led by a terrible GM doesn't change soon, the first high draft pick is going to age out before they're competitive. |
