I'm trying so hard to find where I saw the stats of the Canucks the past 5 seasons about their shot totals, goals, record, etc. that put them in the last 5 in the league in those categories.

It was what 1.5 seasons ago, when they said they were rebuilding, then a few months ago they said they were 2 years away from being competitive, now last week, it was we need to be better and get into playoffs.
Don't you expect a decent high pick, if you are rebuilding, or do you expect a 15th-21st pick every year.
This is what turns a lot of fans off of Benning, he consistently changes the direction of his statements.

Remake the bottom 6 starting with a truly good 3C. Top 4 RHD is difficult & if none then the above will go fine. It’ll put all coaches on the hot seat. Either you get your wish or we turn the corner. Either way this offseason needs to be a big success.

During the Chicago Blackhawks decade where they made the playoffs once they went through 8 coaches. Oilers during their 10 year stretch without the playoffs went 7 coaches. Too much.

Then again the other angle is that an expansion franchise could garner blind loyalty for 5-10 years. If we lost those guys maybe the fans could hold the franchise to a higher standard.

I would like to see a steady progression towards competitiveness over the last seven years. That progression is the result of a well thought out plan implemented during the GMs first season in charge. Generally referred to as “vision”.

As a fan is that too much to ask for? Are my expectations too unrealistic? I guess some Canuck fans are so used to losing that winning is a bizarre fantasy.

I would imagine a new GM and President will want to have their guy in place.

Pretty sure the President and GM will want to change a bunch of players as well. They tend to get pushed around pretty easy.

Let's try to thread the facts. Found it funny that the article you posted about your Krak had Green as a coaching candidate. Then you get the thread going on a dance of dislike. Perhaps that's the system?

Like I've said you can want someone else. There are others with better records and more experience. Though been told fit goes a long way to working a team to buy in and improve.

Can you provide an example of a team that had steadily progressed over a 7 year period and went onto success? A team in a more recent era say the past 20 years.

I'm only asking because I have looked at probably every team and I haven't found what you are looking for.
