He can't fix it only time can fix it, that's why he said he needs 2 more years (until those shitty contracts expire) - A_SteamingLombardi
Truth of the biggest problem he saddled the team & himself with. |

It would be nice if Bo did something about it. Rather than whining. - LordHumungous
Bo, Myers, 3rd for Eichel. Myers goes back to the dumpster where he had his best years. |

What was Toronto's plan? Sign Marleau to trade him away and cost them a 1st round pick. Benning would be absolutely raped through the coals if that was the case.
You wouldn't have to chant Fire Benning, FA would have done it his self. - manvanfan
Yes, that was Toronto's 7 year plan. Sign Marleau and then trade him. Way to distill that down
No, much like your rebuild plan, TO insulated their youth and didn't reach too far out of their lane until the time was better. JB has been all over the map, hasn't he? Or, do you really see a consistent, well thought out plan with his 7 year tenure?
Also, TO made that mistake and then rectified it. JB signed LE, Beagle, Rous, etc. and has let them sit on the books and impede the Canucks' ability to compete when they could be. At least TO got out from under it and made it worthwhile, even if it was a high price to pay. |

I guess mistakes don't matter as long as you can make them go away. Even if it does cost you a pick or prospect or NHL player. People tend to forget if they aren't able to see them anymore.
Could go through the entire NHL |

true. i've always thought no GM/coach should ever be fired. everyone makes mistakes. let them grow, learn from their mistakes and then retire after decades with the same team. all this criticism and whining is way over the top when everyone makes mistakes. |

They should be able to get the same calubre player at #8,as they would at 2nd. |

How the hell does a rebuilding team like the Senators only have 6 picks in this draft? |

As our captain that’s on pace with both Naslund and Sedin. He’s held up his part of the deal as a much younger captain. - bloatedmosquito
Leadership comes in many forms. I'm not questioning Bo's production I'm questioning his leadership skills. Players like Miller and Bo whining about what Benning and MNGT does has no place. Do the best you can with what you have. Yes we lost Marky and Tanev and Toffoli lol and Leivo but you know what? What's done is done. Worry about what needs to happen on the ice and leave what Benning does out of it. |

right? a team gets 7 picks per draft so having 6 for a rebuilding team is bad.
i mean if some rebuilding team had only 48 picks in 7 years, meaning 1 less than they were initially allotted by the NHL, you'd have to question the ability/vision of the GM, right? |

I've got a feeling that they will probably use some of those picks to speed up the process. |

You have been doing a lot of whining about Miller and Bo lately, yet a few months ago, when others criticized Miller and Bo, you jumped all over them. |

and if management fails, they can always point at the canucks as a reason to keep their jobs for a decade. "everyone makes mistakes." |
