Not sure why I get questioned whenever I notice the defender do the opposite of this. Usually it is one of the shiny types that make that play and fans get upset when they get criticized.

You aren't allowed to criticize the shiny pieces.

If you don't agree they're among the absolute best at their position then you probably aren't a real fan.

So funny, my dad is a habs fan and brother a leafs fan. Pretty sure they aren't talking to each other right now.

Yeah, they play more of a team concept. They have some nice young talent but play to their goaltending. I'm not sold on their coach.

I always get a kick out this real fan crap, that some like to spew.
I have been a Canuck fan since they entered the league.my other team is Boston, because #4, who got me interested in hockey when I was very young.
These "real fan" types love the shiny ones, so if you criticize Hughes or Pouty or Schmidt or Hoglander you are not a real fan, they go about criticizing players that I like and I usually just put up a few comments why I like a player like Myers, or whoever.
What I find real funny is when a fan is on their 2nd or 3rd favourite team and says you are not a real fan. Lol
