24.7% chance to win it all

Roger made this??

A lot of similar sites are back and forth with the Av’s because of the difficulty in getting through. Playing Carolina in second round not like playing Jets. I’d guess those numbers change a lot once the final four are set.

Hab fans aren’t happy today, they almost, ALMOST, remind me of Leaf fans. Who am I kidding, they’re not even close.

It was like we were down 3-0 in the game and 2-1 in the series in here last night.

The bad officiating is a league wide plague and it usually favours the teams without stars.

The goal of the refereeing in this league is to balance out the games AND the series. The NHL believes this makes for more compelling viewing. Perhaps they are right, but at what cost?

THIS is the root of the problem. It allows teams to drag the games and the series into the mud and becomes the great equalizer.

It also leads to all the constant bullpoop that goes on during the game and after every play. There is no other sport that lets this crap happen constantly. You would be kicked out of a game in any other major sport for this kind of behaviour.

So, yeah, the NHL wants the series to be close, regardless of the disparity in talent. frankly, this direction (frank)s with the integrity of the game.

Kerfoot, Nylander, Campbell have been our best players.

The defense has been pretty solid all the way around. Dermott looked lost in a few plays, Bogosian has been better than expected.

Tampa or Florida are low. Whoever comes out of that are going to be very tough to beat.

100%. I can't come up with any explanation how the NHL fails to promote their stars and best teams. You're litterally not seeing the best of anyone in the playoffs. They need to call penalties. Without it, a team lacking talent can cluth and grab superior talent.

NHL wants it that way though. They love parity, The NBA would never do this crap.

If you go back through history this started right around the time Betteman took over. He allowed clutching and grabbing to be a thing after he took over and never addressed it. The NHL is now behind the other sports more than ever. Promote your best teams and stars and let them show what they can do.

The site doesn’t identify the best teams. Florida and TBL low because one of them will lose

Interesting stat: Winnipeg swept Edmonton yet gave up 60 high def chances in 4 games....60. They are a defensive mess.

Yeah, refereeing doesnt change in the playoffs.

crap doesnt happen after every whistle.

The league doesn't endorse this.

This bullpoop happens in every other sport. I mean look at baseball, fielders are constantly tripping baserunners are ragdolling the stars of the other team. In basketball, you can barely score with everyone bodychecking the shooter and goaltending on every play. The games would be in the triple digits in football because holding is allowed on every play. The problem is that all the quarterbacks are injured from blows to the head...

Can we at least agree that the NHL is the only major sport where the rules effectively change between the regular season/playoffs. (Or regular time/overtime).

I don't think fake parity is a way to sell the sport. Wayne Gretzky hosted SNL. No one knows any of the league's best players.

The NBA has it right. It's about stars and not having parity isn't hurting them at all.

So, because their series is not decided, they both have a low chance of winning the cup, but the Leafs, who had the second weakest first round matchup are favoured.

Yeah, that's real useful.

Funny how suddenly Leafs facing weak competition is an issue LOL. No one cared about competition with the lame "They won a round" arguments.
