I don't have Lidstrom as the best defenseman ever. Bobby Orr deserves that honour. But saying Lidstrom is overrated is (frank)ing foolish. - gergeswillems
It all depends in the context by which "overrated" is being used though, doesn't it? I don't think he belongs in the conversation as the "best ever".
Having said that, I can give you a dissertation backed with era-adjusted statistics and relative team strength to back up my "(frank)ing foolish" take if you like.
Not sure why my opinion has rankled you so hard that you went out of your way - and out of context - to basically say "(frank) you for your opinion", but okay. |

Probably because he's a Wings fan who watched Lidstrom every year dominate the league and win all those accolades for his team and himself? |

Good play by Keefe to give Cornrow Dermott some minutes. Better play by Keefe to go back to the more dynamic Sandin for Game 5. |

If the Preds got out of the division, I'd not want to play them. That would mean Saros is channeling his Hasek/Roy. - AdamFrench
Dude's been a massive pain in the ass for a small goalie.
His save percentage is only .001 better than Nedeljkovic's, but he's faced 40 more shots through 5 games.

Oh, I see. So a fanboy who devotes themselves to watching one team is an objective and reliable source?

I think price could steal a game while they still had their foot on the gas - senstroll
It’s possible, but even if Price goes full god-mode the reality is Montreal sucks. All you need is to crash in 1 goal. They can’t score and when we play our game they cant even get in our zone effectively. There PP is worse then ours also!
Plus, as good as Price has been, he is not the old Price. That goal that Rielly scored the other day was an example. He shot his meager wrist shot directly in the center of the net. Price was way out of position... He ain’t no Hasek at this point... |

It was fun to watch game 4 - once we got the lead, the Habs had to quit trapping, and it lead to chances galore for us.
First goal tonight is bigly yuge. |

I agree, I think if the Leafs score the 1st goal early, we can open up Montreal and use our speed to take advantage of their defense |

Leafs score first, Leafs win..
Price can still steal games..
To be fair to Price, I don't think anyone expected Rielly to actually hit the net |

Agreed. Though I'd go as far as to say it's a very accurate description of most fans regardless of sports and/or fanbase. |

What's encouraging is that the minor lineup shuffles have been pretty much unnoticeable except for the QB on 1st PP |

Dermott played zero mistake hockey and it's terrific that they can be confident to go back to him in a pinch. Hope Dermott doesn't need to come back in but good to know he's there and, I'm sure, he's pushed Hutton (who I kind of liked) out of the equation for the time being.
Having said that, playing zero mistake hockey still can't get a guy to crack the lineup which is a testament to how the Leafs feel that Sandin can add more versatility. That PPQB1 option isn't the only difference - Sandin has added some sandpaper to his game and he's so damn cool-nerves with the puck. Love it!

I wonder if they sit Foligno tonight, even if he is good to go.
Better safe than sorry.

If it was me, it's a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" thing for now. Habs have been putting their lines through the blender and it hasn't worked so roll with what worked last couple of games and let people get healthy for the peg. |

Might as well. The PK has been amazing and the PP mediocre, but probably not improved by him. |
