In all seriousness is there any concern from Leaf fans that this series has been so easy for Toronto that the step up in competition to Winnipeg might be a bit of a shell shock? - DoubleDown
We’re too (frank)ing giddy at the prospect of winning a series. Go away |

Marincin will get into a game and the Leafs will win and Merincin's name will be on the Cup. It is destiny. |

Not really, for the following reasons:
Winnipeg sucks

For the sake of starting a bar debate, I'll say you have to include Niedermayer, just for the bling-bling factor. - Atomic Wedgie
Scotty Niedermayer was great for sure. I still have nightmares of him going end to end on Detroit in the 1995 SCF. |

Neither did Paul Coffey. But he was great offensively. I loved watching him skate. - gergeswillems

Also, second all-time among NHL defencemen in goals, assists, and points.. I think you're too hard on him. |

Great Left winger. Even when Detroit had him he was elite. |

Because I couldn't reply to your take on Lidstrom when you made it. I was banned for telling KKKap he's a racist piece of $hit. KKKap was defending Shady1962 for making a racist statement towards Anthony Duclair who is a black man. He said his attack on Kucherov was "Typical of his kind."
Unlike most people on HB I don't use alts. - gergeswillems
Fair enough - just thought the "(frank) you" was a bit harsh.
For the record, I don't use alts either though I wish there was a way to change one's name on this site. |

No, because this hasn't been an easy series.. They've been good games.. Leafs haven't been winning 8-1 every game.

Because not every team starts a mediocre goalie like Tristan Jarry? Because they lack depth and skill down the middle? Because you can't hit your way to the Cup finals?
I could go on, but the Islanders aren't winning the (frank)ing Cup. - mjones242
I hope not.
If the leafs dont win the cup...then I hope its........hmmm the wild I guess?
Or Nashville. |

I believe this is Ducharme's attempt to bring in anybody that has even the tiniest boner for offense.
Gustafsson had 60 points in 79 games couple years ago, could maybe make a pass or two. |

giving up size in Kulak and Romanov for a smaller Gustafsson..
It should help the offense. Won't make up for the loss of Jake Evans though, no one on the Habs can fill that void |

They should absolutely give Romanov a taste of the post-season. It's absurd that this kid, who figures to be an important part of the future core, hasn't been give some minutes. |

Since we're talking defensemen...does anybody else think it is absolutely insane that Ray Bourque has the most shots on goal in NHL history? |

Maybe as it pertains to the forwards. They will be playing against quality forwards in the Peg line up.
As for goaltending, Price has been good. I will expect the same from Helly.
Bu the Leafs have played the peg 10 times, they'll know what to expect. |

I didn't know that. Makes sense. Bourque had a very good shot, played over 20 years and literally never left the ice. I never knew whether to call him Ray or Raymond. People were always correcting me. |
