Its so pathetic. You can make just about any of the top 20 prospect pools look great. The only sure things are the stars at the top of the list...the rest are crap shoots who will likely be NHL tweeners.

Its playoffs and the dude is talking about prospects The series isnt even over and the Leafs are already in his head.

he is a car crash I cant look away from
the leaf hate in him is so strong.

he tweeted out a list of people who picked the Leafs in 5, and had some comment after gm1...I was going to retweet it if the leafs win tonight, but I think he deleted it. cant find it.

thats another thing..he deletes a lot of his worst stuff....cant even stand behind his own crap

I said it in the Nucks blog before the Leafs-Habs series started if TO got the goaltending the Habs would be lucky to win one game and they have. This series is over no point in whining about refs it's not like the Habs are getting screwed on the Gilmour missed call from 93' like the Leafs did lol
- LordHumungous

Price actually gave his team 2 games this series so far.

But we only won one of them.

Perry’s knee (accidentally) gave you game 1.

I love his Top "insert arbitrary cutoff number that makes him feel good about things" lists

the habs have 8 players taken in the top 74

iv heard of 2 of these players

- senstroll

Well McAgggggg is insane.

But the Habs do have a very interesting prospect pool from most reports.

I think what it lacks is a superstar in the making though.

Caufield maybe? But that's far from a given.

Chara had 50 points that year, and almost had 20 goals. A lot better than 3 goals and 29 assists.
- PatC80

Call me crazy, but didn't they play him "at forward" on the powerplay that year?

Or am I smoking crack?

Not that I think Norris trophies are truly an objective measure of a d-man's actual worth, but here's Bourque's Norris voting resume:

1st: 5
2nd: 6
3rd: 4
4th: 4
7th: 3

There wasn't a single year he finished outside of the Top 7. That's absurd.

- mjones242

Yet he couldn't score on Ron Tugnutt in 19 tries.

Bust.

Habs have more PP chances; Habs fans, "it's the refs fault."
Leafs lose Tavares and Foligno; Habs fans, "yeah well, we don't have Jake Evans."

Habs fans are a whiny bunch (except for Scabby, he only complains about Ducharme)

In all seriousness is there any concern from Leaf fans that this series has been so easy for Toronto that the step up in competition to Winnipeg might be a bit of a shell shock?
- DoubleDown

Naw DoubleD

First, this series isn't over.
Second, Winnipeg may be a tough test, but I think Montreal is the worst matchup for the Leafs. Talent is not the Leafs issue. it is talent that can perform under the adversity of physical play and tight checking. That is what they have not been able to overcome.

Updated list of players who annoy me (which usually means they're doing a good job):

Matthews
Nylander
Holl
Muzzin
Hyman
Kerfoot
Galchenyuk

That last one not really for his overall play but that 3 points night just stings.

Leafs are a step up from Oilers too.
- gergeswillems

I do not think the Oilers would have beaten any of the other N playoff teams.

Not only are the habs losing, which is fine because they were the obvious underdogs in that series, but they're losing without giving their young players the much needed experience in the playoffs.

They're also misusing them so goddamn badly by giving them no stability with linemates all year.

Anyway, there will be a time to discuss this after everyone gets fired in the summer but holy crap this is disappointing.

Best player I've ever seen play.

Even after a year off, after cancer, after the back injuries, he was a dominant player.

I own only 1 jersey from another team than Montreal.

It's a Lemieux jersey.

I think McDavid is the best I have seen.

He actually scored the tying goal but was denied the OT winner. He also had an assist that game.

If it wasn't for Orr he'd be the 🐐.

Shut down McDavid and Draisaitl win game.

Leafs have shown that even having no Tavares and Montreal doing a decent job of shutting down matthews and marner they have depth.

Plus like 3 weeks ago Winnipeg sucked bad. I think they got lucky they got to play with against a terrible Oiler team.

- bryant

They did just get their best player back too, which probably helped a bit.
