It's possible that he has lost a step, I mean it's hard to say really... The dude was injured a lot the past few years and maybe that's taken a toll on him?

Or maybe, he's better suited to play in a more wide open, less structured system?

- PatC80

He might be, but if he lets in softies in the playoffs there's no point.

Andersen topped out at .919 on both Anaheim and Toronto. He's still yet to hit 920 ever. Campbell has twice now. And that was Andersen at his peak. He's lost a step
- RogerRoeper

Umm Andersen's first year he had .923 and had 20 wins and 5 losses.
This year, Jack finished with .921 and had 17 wins and 3 losses.
Although Jack's first year of playing more than 20 games, he had .928 and had 10 wins 14 losses.
3rd year starting 20 games was .900, 8 wins 10 losses

but it seems like Jack is the guy going forward.
younger (2 years) and cheaper, which is great.

So, the Kadri trade, Campbell trade and Nylander contract seem decent at this point.

My twitter timeline is filled with Habs obituaries and "what the off-season looks like for the Habs" and my Leafy Collapse Radar is pinging off the hook right now... shut up social media, stop jinxing it.

I don't read that stuff either, I scroll past that... Do these people not know the last 100 years of Leafs history?

Can't we all just be happy that Campbell is playing well (against the worst offense in the playoffs, but hey!) and that Freddy is still there in case things go south instead of Big "Taking a poop" Dave and Clutchinson?

YES

Teams have come back from 3-1 deficits. There have been a lot of close games and Price is playing amazing right now; we could totally get goalied still...

kind of, but maybe more like;

"You know how Detroit won all those Cups in the 90's, sure they had Yzerman, Lidstrom, Shanahan, Federov, Maltby, Draper, and a host of other talented players... Yeah, that's not gonna happen here... So, here is a video on Riley Nash and how he excels defensively, be more like him"

No we are all wrong because Roger says so, I mean even getting the numbers wrong having a goalie with a .919 or .920 save % just isn't good enough

I agree with those who have said Andersen will likely rebound somewhere else, while I also agree last couple years he hasn't been the same guy he was the first 3 years in Toronto. A team will take a flyer on him and give him a chance to be the starter or at least a 1B in a 1A/1B scenario if the price is right and I think he will find his game again - look at a guy like Jake Allen who (arguably) was never as good as Andersen or Mrazek, Bernier......it happens.

Oilers could be a good fit but time will tell, I don't see him resigning in Toronto because he'd have to agree to a pay cut and to be the 1B / Back up and I think he goes somewhere he feels he can be the starter.

Finally I also agree Campbell is looking really good and I sincerely hope he can keep this level of play and calmness throughout the playoffs - it's been impressive how cool he has been.

That Yzerman narrative that they suddenly won cups because he played 2 ways is the most laughable insane argument around.

It was funny when Marchment got to play with Barkov for a few people went crazy. He's done nothing. 0 points since then. 2 career NHL goals

I died through every playoff loss and every non playoff year. But to disregard what is going on in front of us doesn’t make sense. The Leafs are much, much better than the Habs. This is not like being underdogs against Boston or Washington or never getting going against CBJ.

Anything can happen but there have been zero realistic signs of collapse.
