I could totally see a Jarry for Kassian trade. Fills the long pants quota with a guy who can kinda play in the top 6 - TheGame316
In all seriousness, why would anybody want Jarry after that performance? That kind of performance will be hard to forget for GM's.
Then again, Ott traded for Murray then resigned him for 4 f'n years at an absurd 6.25 mil. |

Sullivan should go. His refusal to make any type.of change or shift to the game plan is.maddening. Trotz must laugh at him and quietly think, "yep, keep doing what your.doing Sully". Sully just does the same thing over and over in a playoff series and hopes for a different result. |

I was clamoring for changing the lines and what not.. but.. honestly none of that even matters when your goaltending sucks as bad as it did. I don't think any scheme would have saved the Pens in this instance. |

Can’t just trust the process in a 7 game series. You need results. |

This also is true. So Sullivan can take Jarry with him. They were never a confident team in this series because they could not trust Jarry at all. Jarry should have had an Islanders uniform on for this series.

Ek said Sullivan could be a strong candidate for the Rangers or Buffalo... personally, I think he should go to Buffalo. I think he could help turn the team around there.
If he gets hired, that would stop the Penguins from needing to pay him, right? |

Vegas got jobbed
Talbot was busy pushing Tuch in the back while not looking for the shot and Tuch got to the white before the shot came through
terrible call |

The pens are going to keep the core players, there will be a goaltender move and get bigger. Glad I went and played hockey tonight. |

Pretty good summation by RW and maybe talked some off a ledge haha. I don’t see hextall making a knee jerk reaction. Look how patient he was when he took over to make one very good move. Obviously carter will regress drastically but it was a great depth move for centre, got a righty, and he fits the pens mold to a T. Checked a lot of boxes.
Now for Gibson he would be worth going all in haha. I do expect some decent change this off season though. I think one winger from each of the top 2 lines is gone and at least 1 LD. Whether it’s expansion or trades. I hope we don’t get kassian he is a scrub elevated by mcdavid. Zadorov will hopefully price himself out of Pitt. I’m very interested to see what this team looks like come oct. |

DeBoer might be worse than Sully
Down 3-0 with 4 minutes left and a PP and he doesn't pull the goalie |

Rust out
Zucker out
Pettersson out
In
Vet goalie who can start (Jarry probably stays)
Big Body winger
Big Body winger x2
Big Body 3rd pairing Dman to play sheltered minutes with POJ
Poulin and Legare get long looks |

💯 my thoughts exactly. Based on how patient hexy was though and what he said about why they got carter and only him, I don’t think he will get some 4th line truculent plug just to appease Burke. I hope anyways. |

I would love to see Mike Babcock as our new coach. While I thank Mike Sullivan for the back to back cups, NHL coaches do have a shelf life. Babcock has a proven track record and can match X’s and O’s with anybody. Also, his teams are nearly always well prepared and disciplined. I think he is the perfect fit with our core.
In addition to Babcock and a goalie coach (I sure miss Mike Bales) we have a few other needs. We should acquire a new goalie, and there should be plenty of free agents that can fill that need. We need a big, and hopefully hard hitting, LD who can replace Marcus Pettersson(I still respect the way Niklas Kronwall was deployed by Babcock). Number 28 is neither strong enough nor offensively talented to warrant his position. Finally, it would be nice to get a big winger that can park in front of the net (Ability to throw punches would be an added bonus). |

I wonder if a Zucker for Kassian trade works for Edmonton?
Petts gets moved for picks?
Rust gets moved for a big body player? |

That would be a steal for Edmonton but I doubt they could afford the extra couple mil. Kassian is a plug who was elevated by mcdavid. Truculent, yes! Good at hockey, no! |

Edmonton's got nothing but cash and needs reliable top 6 guys
I figure Kassian could play any wing in the top 9, is cheaper and fits what Burke is looking for. Track record of putting the puck in the net. We could do worse |

Edmonton would love a Zucker for Kassian trade... but we sure as hell wouldnt.
Kassian is a hard no for me. The guy has never played more than 80 games a season and he had 5 points this season.
I agree with moving Petts, Zucker, and Rust... but not for a guy like Zack Kassian. Its a shame Nurse has played so insanely well... would have liked a deal centered around Rust for Nurse. |

If the asking price is Jarry/McCann/1st round pick... the only question is how long does it take for Hextall to pull the trigger.
Anaheim is a hard team to get a read on. Not sure Gibson is in the cards for them. - SuperHenderson13
Yeah, I kinda think it might cost a touch more. At least a solid prospect, if not better.
Gibson has had a down two seasons, but he’s got a fantastic history other than that. He’s still pretty young, and goalies can last. When he’s on his game, he’s a top 5 goaltender. Minimum. His track record would project him to rebound just fine.
Since the last two seasons have been a little wacky, and the defense let him out to dry a bit this season, I think people are willing to give him a pass.
If his name is dangled in a trade, Anaheim will have their fair share of suitors and tasty offers.
Come strong, because someone else certainly will. |

terrible call - TheGame316 Saw that, horrible horrible call. When the puck went in Talbot was moving towards it free and clear, and Tuch was on the opposite side with his hands and stick in the air to not touch Talbot in any way. Feel bad for MAF, 2nd game he went to the 3rd period without allowing a goal and lost because Vegas put up a big 0.
