Larkin had a sucky year. Would you trade him away with a 1st while also retaining?
Monahan would give this team a legit 1-2 punch at center for the first time since the Datsyuk Zetterberg days. - Feds91Stammer
His injury is fixable, so this is intriguing....... I would expand this trade to :
Monahan + Hanafin for Bert and Raz and a 3rd |

Dude.......totally honest here; THAT made me think twice. BUT, Larkin's truly a leader than none could replace, at this point. I'm of the opinion that he's going t be a Wing for his entire career. No one can handle this team, in this situation, like he can. I just can't do it. Larkin stays.

You’re severely overrating Bertuzzi. He’s a 50 point top 6 complementary winger coming off back surgery. - Feds91Stammer
Fair point! We don't know what we don't know about his health going forward. But considering surgery, would we be able to convince CAL to trade Monahan for Bert? I say sign Bert for a couple of years, low salary, $3m or so, to see how he performs.

Good NIGHT......you guys REALLY come up with some intriguing proposals!!! Hanafin is a pretty serviceable D-man, can play both sides with ease, runs the PP fairly well, good reads in the D-zone, great vision, excellent out-let pass.....This deal could be something to consider, but I am SO leery of trading Bert, he's a Grind Line guy, and we need that physicality. That being said, can he handle the grind post-surgery?
FEDS: OK, OK, OK....I'm considering your proposed moving Bert. You should sell cars, brother. You & H2 would be KILLER together |

FL can sign a cheap backup, or see if Montembault can handle it, while Knight goes to Charlotte and plays number one in AHL. Knight being on an ELC for the next two years helps cushion the blow of Bob’s contract. Bob will only have 3 more years left then.
It will make it somewhat easier to make some kind of move then.
You want something nice from FL, it most likely is gonna involve talking sweet nothings about playing time, and iron man streak, to Yandle so he’ll waive his NMC to go there.

Answer me one question:
If all these players in America have been vaccinated, how do they end up on the COVID parodical list???? The 3 St Louis players and now 2 VGK players. |

I would take Yandle if the Panthers add their 1st rounder either this year or next year along with him. |

Bet Zito would seriously consider this year’s first round pick. I think 22 is the highest it could be, could be as low as 24th (not sure if that’s exactly correct).
The question is if Yandle would agree. |

He won’t be health bombed in Detroit and he wouldn’t be asked to waive the NMC for expansion so he’d certainly consider it. |

Staal had a NMC and he lifted it to come to the Wings although he only had 1 year on his deal. Hard to say if he would or not. Yzerman does seem to know how to convince some players to come to Detroit even if the team is rebuilding. Yandle would get lots of ice time and PP time given the Wings have nothing offensively on the left side of their defense. unless he completely crapped the bed, he would get lots of opportunity to be a top left side option and PP QB. Maybe you pair him up with Seider. |

Fla really want to part with him. |

Cholo has no value and I wouldn’t expect a team to retain when giving up a 1st. |

Not only that but it's not like Yandle is completely useless either. He had a down year points wise but he has a pretty good track record of putting up 40+ points per season. Getting the 1st round pick would be the most important part of the deal but they could get some much needed offense from the back end too from him. |

I keep wondering about Florida's goalie-situation, and the flat salary-cap. Bobrovsky has not worked out as they had planned, and has 5 years on a monster-payout, so I'm not sure even a couple of first round picks would make it worth taking on his contract. He has had some seriously good years in the past, is it worth the risk? That's a real gamble, to say the least. Florida will absolutely hope that Seattle takes him off their hands, but after that, maybe Yzerman can pull one of his amazing deals? |
