Have you ever even tried to be cautiously optimistic?
What do you get out of saying they're already (frank)ed now?

Why not try the "Leafs are still the better team. They can do this" approach instead of "Leafs Be Leafs "

Wht not save that one for after they lose?

'cause I have already used it too many times after they lost

Habs get a home crowd to pump their tires.

This is going 7 and I don't like our chances if AM34 stays quiet.

Campbell had a brutal game tonight.
- MaximusAurelius

Yep, shakey.

We can thank Roger for pumping him up like he was the next Ken Dryden.

Pretty sure Campbell is in here daily

Talent is one thing but it has to show up. The game is on the ice after all.
- Nighthawk

I dont disagree. But so far our depth talent and Montreal inability so score (lack of talent) have been the reasons for the Leafs success.
The series is still in the Leafs favour. And if Matthews/Marner combine for 5 points next game a lot of people are going to have to eat their (frank)in hats. I'm not saying that will happen, but I'm saying shut the (frank) up until we lose in game 7.

Yes, we did. The shots were 11-3 at one point. Not sure what else would qualify...

I've gotten to the point where I'm kinda numb with this team. (frank) it. I'm not going to get emotionally involved because they have crushed my hopes too many times. Having said that, I find it.....remarkable....how they continually find new and different leafy ways to disastrously lose, and seem fairly incapable of rising to the moment when they need to.

Their stars collapse when the going gets tough. Until it happens that they don't collapse, then that observation is valid.

I gotta say I dont even disagree.

But I'm still holding on to the "They're the better team" mentality and hope they find a way to close it out. Our vets are doing what they should be, I think. Muzzin, Thornton, and Spezza have been doing about as much as we can ask of them. Simmonds meh, but whatever.

I do really want Foligno back to earn his keep.

It's pretty crazy...I tend not to believe in superstitious things, but the leafs have me leaning towards curses being real

I am not sure they didn't waste a first there.

I think you can try to add all the character you want, Simmonds, Bogosian, Thornton, Foligno, but if Marner and Matthews don't have the character, you can't win when your best players are not your best players.

Hyman as many goals as Marner and Matthews combined and he is facing the same competition.
Muzzin more than both of them combined.

There is just no way to get around that, and this is not the first time they have disappeared.

You can say it like it's fact, but it's still your opinion. 16-5 shots in the third, that's what the hockey folk would refer to as a dominant period. Validation not required. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Playoffs shows many things.
Winners are born.
The regular season is only an audition for what might come.

McD & Drai showed no better.

Playoffs are an entirely different beast that some players simply cannot figure out. Tighter hockey brings out the best or worst.

Taking it to the next level is expected.

Wayne Train can’t even stay onside. He needs to eat some popcorn for a game or 2.
- Garnie

that’s because little b!tch marner is ice dancing at the blue line with the puck instead of getting it deep so he can go (frank) up one of the dmen 🤦🏿‍♂️

I swear this board is full of people who say they want to go on a cup ride, but they can't handle an OT loss in round 1 when we up 3 games to 1.

Gonna be a lot of rich therapists around here if the leafs ever go deep. 🤷🏻‍♂️
