Nice to see the bad side of Galchenyuk make an appearance.

half of the blame is to put at Toronto's Khal Drogo as well.. awful decision to leave his position there.

No need to worry, Leafs have this.

Beating the Habs in thier own building with Fans for the 1st time in a year.

Carolina needing 6 games, 4 of which went to overtime, to beat a much worse Nashville team should be a good reminder for Leafs fans that sometimes even really good teams lose a couple along the way.

This was the first game that the Leafs didn’t respond with any physical element. They just sat back and let the Habs take it to them. There was no Leafs forecheck as a result. It all went the other way and the Leafs were on their heals all night. I would have expected Simmonds to start the second period with some crashing about but nada.

Campbell had trouble covering the puck a couple of times but was solid much of the time.

No look pass on the blue line in OT?

We need to see if the vets were more than just a calming influence over the regular season. The first 5 minutes tomorrow will tell a lot about this this team. I went Montreal hospitals overrun with 2500 poutine choking cases.

When you are supposed to be covering for your defenseman who pinched.

That puck needs to be dumped in to give Bogo a chance to get back in position.

Ah well. Off to game 6.

Ho-hum

O’Neil is right in saying Matthews and Marner need to produce if the Leafs want to go all the way...

4-1 Leafs on Saturday!

He helped get them to OT.
But that was a horrible play to make in OT.

Both have 4pts in 5 games.
Not bad for sure.
But not great considering their pay. Matthews was invisible last night. 1 goal in 5 games from the NHL's leading scorer is not good. Its time to take over game. We know he can, we've seen it. Now its time to do it on consistent basis in the playoffs when it matters.
Willie has stepped up so far. M&M need to manhandle these habs.
Onto game 6.
Time to get Foligno back in the line up

Hyman was driving the play on the line. Good to see him fully back. Besides Willie, I thought Rielly and Muzzin had good games, especially Rielly moving the puck up the ice. He’s been good this series.

Yes, i believe Leafs will close it out on Saturday night.

This is not a very good Montreal team. Everything came together for them last night and nothing seemed to work for the Leafs. Not going to happen in two consecutive games.

Agreed

Rielly has improved his game this series

Holl was brutal, yet his partner was 🥇

Keefe deserves a bit of blame for taking out Cpt Cornrow

Id honestly wouldnt mind seeing Mickey benched.
I know we most likely dont have a better option with JT and Foligno out or in, but mickey has taken a step back offensively imo.

Good on the PK, but useless most other places other than skating fast. 0pts in 10 playoff games.
Not gonna happen, I know.

Ffs.

Their captain almost died in the first game.

The Leafs are 3-1 in games I give a (frank) about.

Remember that Boston team that took 7 games to beat Riemer and Kessel? Remember that WSH team that went down 2-0 to a low CBJ seed?

You guys need to (frank) off with your leafs PTSD and be okay with losing games because it’s going to happen regardless of who they face.

Enjoy the run and stop being a sore loser when they lose. This team is good as (frank) and has a legit shot to win the cup.

Some of you need to lighten up

Our number 1 dman Muzzin was hot last night.
Reilly looked decent.

Awful take

Mikheyev is defensively reliable and his speed is a game changer

Send Mikey packing, talk about a guy who can’t shoot or pass. Its a coin toss between Simmonds and him who’d I’d sit or bump down.
