Not for you.

Given how huge this matchup is, it would have been sad to see either team dominate the series. Let's play some hockey, have some fun, and just enjoy this for what it is: A rivalry reborn.

I would not have been sad to see the Leafs dominate the game.

In all honestly, while I was pissed last night we didn't close it out, I kept thinking that a Saturday night Habs-Leafs playoff game is not the worst thing in the world.

I was very sad we didn't close it out.

The thought of ending the series after a bunch of Habs fans bought tickets to Saturday's game gave me the warm and fuzzies.

Ok, time for a gut check here: in order for the Habs to actually score more than a goal, the perfect storm was required, 90% of it was us doing the polar opposite of what we've been doing all series:

1. refs put the whistles away.
2. we coughed up the puck a lot; giveaway machines.
3. we didn't take care of our own end very well.
4. we didn't have any physical push-back at all.
5. Campbell had a bad game.

Honestly, you remove any one of those criteria, let alone two or three, and we win that game.

I truly can't see that all happening again.

I didn't hate the refereeing last night.

it's not even close and not worth debating. Did anyone else think the Corey Perry forearm shiver hit on Sandin was questionable?
- winsix

I definitely thought it was a deliberate hit to the head.

I hate it knowing how entirely different they called in the game before... and then the game before that... and, yup, you guessed it: the game before that game.

Or.... especially for me.

Btw I saw that tickets in the red section were 4000$ on reseller sites.

I decided to pass.

- Scabeh

I know I'm in the minority here, but I wouldn't want to go see a game at 12.5% capacity at any price. It would be eerily quiet.

I'd rather watch it in my backyard with friends (following COVID protocols, of course).

To be honest, I had completely forgotten about that one hit.

Other than that, it was a pretty clean game.

And I guess everything is relative - the reffing was good last night - compared to other games.

I hated the cats stomping around the room last night.
I hated the dog breathing way too loud.
I hated the wind outside.

And I wasn’t crazy about your post.

If Dubas was any kind of GM he would have the opposing GMs jailed and then award themselves the cup after putting on sham playoffs

Dubas will annex the Bell Centre to protect all the Anglophones of Montreal.

A few of us were only one Galchenyuk away from a 5 game series win.

I thought about that this morning.

Will they keep playing the fake crowd noise? Or ask the 2500 people there to yell very loud?

I was tempted to drive down to Montreal for the game Saturday night but then saw the ticket prices on the secondary market..

I don't remember being particularely mad at them so.... yeah me too.

Except maybe that weird icing call where the puck didn't even cross the line and the Leafs scored after a faceoff win.

That one kinda blew my mind... but it was still 3-1 so I took it quite well.

Campbell sounded like a guy who was beating himself up for not stopping a perfect 2 on 0.

Give yourself a break Jack geez.
