This is (frank)ing bullpoop, shameful and not acceptable. - stinger67
This reminds me when they blocked Canadian credit cards from buying playoffs tickets when they last played the Habs. They're so scared of being outnumbered in the stands

I don't understand how this can even be allowed.
Rivalries and fans of other teams are part of what makes this whole thing fun.

Nashville was doing the same, trying to block people from outside certain area codes from getting tickets.

If they won't welcome fans of other teams than they should not be allowed funds from other teams.
OK you can have that rule in place but you will receive no revenue sharing and your tickets must be league average and not 4 tickets + parking + concessions for $25

I wear my Habs jersey with pride wherever I go.
I'm not an annoying bumhole so I usually just joke around with fans of the other team during the game.
Never had any troubles. Loads of fun.
Except that one time.... IN PHILLY!

i actually had pretty good experiences with hab fans during a playoff series that feels like it was 5 or 6 years ago so it was probably 10 or 12 years ago. nobody was really too rambunctious or anything. everyone was pretty happy for the most part, just having a good time and enjoying the playoff atmosphere. one hab fan dumped his drink on a girl from our group in the elevator but i wasn't there for that part.

Very dumb too.
That beer costed him 10$! - Scabeh
i know who he was from their description (he wore a curly clown wig so he was kind of easy to point out) and he was really drunk even when we'd seen him earlier. not that it's an excuse to do what he did but maybe even his own friends were like "duuude, don't be a Richard", so i can't really judge the situation. all of the hab fans i personally came in contact with were cool, though. iirc, 2 dudes even paid for a round of our drinks once and we paid for a round of theirs next time.

Nah they pretty much tried to intimidate us all night and followed us outside, wanting to fight because we celebrated a goal a little too much to their liking.
We walked past a police officer and he took care of them.

eagles and flyers fans do have an inordinately large percentage of angry douchebags as members.
