They can play better but we've said that since the deadline so maybe not - Upstate_isles
Yes they can. Need to tighten up in the neutral zone. Also Cassidy has the last change.
They need to pound Pasta. |

I was hoping Boston would be a little rusty with all the time off. No such luck. |

The Bruins dominated play, getting almost double the SOG. Ilya kept them in it through 2 periods. |

I agree John. If Wahlstrom can play next game, would it be a panic move wanting him to play LW on the 1st line? |

I dunno. Ironically, Leo was +1, Barzal and Ebs each even, while Beau was -3, and Bailey and Nelson each -2. So I'm not sure that Leo was the problem tonight. Bruins play a heavy game, and I think the Isles need to match that somehow. |

Wahlstrom seems to be able to handle himself and adds more offense. What worked against the Pens might not work against Boston. It's still been a big struggle for the 1st line in terms of offense. |

Fair enough. However, I kind of doubt that Barry is gonna replace Leo with Wahlstrom in the midst of the playoffs when he didn't do it (except maybe for a game or 2?) during the regular season. He obviously likes Leo's heavy game on the Barzal line. |

I'm not expecting it either. Hopefully the team responds better next game. |

You see that Boston 1st line and than the Isles 1st line and it's not close. Isles 2nd line has been really good but it would really help to get the Barzal line going. |

It’s only one game but they need to get Barzal line going. Pageau line is not the same without Wahlstrom but not as bad with Leo on the first line. POV Either put palmeri or wahlstrom on that first line if he ever gets healthy. |

The Palm-Pag-Zajac line has been fine. I don’t think it’s gonna happen but I’d love to see Wahlstrom with 13 and 7. I also think Ollie is more hurt than they’re letting on. |

I agree. The 1st line is an issue whether we want to believe it or not. |

I think it makes sense if Varly is truly 100% healthy. |

I get Barzal is not very good on face offs but Leo isn’t much better. If that’s Barry biggest concern then put Pageau on his line and let Zajac center palmeri amd Wahlstrom.
I also feel Wahly is going to be healthy but Trotz liked what he saw game 6 and wasn’t going to change anything. At least I hope I’m right about that. |

Boston really only have two lines. Of course their first line is arguably the best in the NHL. If they can find a way to shut that line down they can win this series. |

It wasn’t a big secret that the only way to win this series was through shutting down or at least limiting that lines chances. It’s a lot easier said then done they are an absolutely dominating line. The key to it is slowing down their transition game in the neutral zone and stopping them at our blue line imo. They were flying unimpeded and unchecked into our zone. We gave them way too much space imo. Have to figure it out real quick we need to take the next game. |

That was an asskicking by the perfection line. Need to figure that out real quick. In other news, I’m cooking bacon, halfway through a bloody Mary and band of brothers is running all day on history channel. Life is good. |
