10 of the Habs’ 15 shots came within the first 5 mins. Leafs got this. |

Marners "shot" was clearly a pass. |

I think you could see the crowd going to Montreal's legs in the first ten minutes, but they failed to capitalize on it. |

They controlled last 5 minutes. They’re not playing the Canucks. It’s hard work but (frank) they took what the Habs could throw at them. Are they down 3-0. They had the last 4 or 5 scoring chances. They not dominating but they’re not on their heels anymore - Canada Cup
Uhh the Habs had more than a few good scoring chances in the last five minutes and I didn’t see the Leafs have much sustained pressure in their zone. |

They do it every game and I don't know why. Its always "weather the storm for the first ten minutes, then get to it." I don't understand why we can't be the storm in the first ten minutes but whatever. It's 0-0 and the Leafs looked a lot better in the back half of that period. - UsernameUnknown
Right? How is it that this team isn’t suitably fired up?
Even if they get past the Habs this ho hum effort does not bode well for later rounds. |

Montreal didn't have much sustained pressure in the last half of the period either. They wanna run and gun, let em. Torontos rush opportunities have looked more dangerous than theirs. |

Habs had a few broken rushes but not much, Leafs had the puck more in the last five minutes. |

I scored a lot in NHL99 by passing instead of shooting.
So does he. |

I dont disagree. I just want them to beat Montreal and give the Jets a good series. After that, it's whatever. |

Exactly this. There’s a distinct lack of urgency and they look timid AF. - mjones242
Its pathetic IMO. Just compete for (frank)s sakes, the Jets will (frank)in mop the table with them if this is all they bring.

Depends on the team that shows up. These guys are consistently inconsistent. But as long as Jykell Toronto shows up for 4 instead of Hyde Toronto, they might be okay. |

Home fans, elimination game, best first period team in the league and Leafs tend to be big eyes in headlights |
