The poor immigrant who had to fill his skates with newspapers so his feet wouldn't slide in them. It's really a great story."Le petit diable" - golfingsince
He was one of the best in his day.
Loved watching him đź‘Ťđź‘Ť |

My all time favourite Canuck is Andre Boudrias, a small player. Big fan of Fleury during his day. - Reubenkincade

I see 1-2 more years of seasoning.
Jurmo 2-3yrs min my guess but LHD. Truscott the same
So need is drafting more RHD if not also signing UFA/trading for RHD. Expecting 1 signed eg Hamonic. 2 be better. - Nighthawk
Jurmo has some real work to do. He could not play in the Liiga last season. The step was way too large for him. He went from example BCHL level to a level a little above the NCAA and fell flat. As most would. Regained his footing in the Mestis league which is still a step up from the u20 but would be closer to going from BCHL to playing for a WHL team.
Truscott didn't have as much trouble moving up levels being acceptable as a 3rd pairing defender in the NCAA. |

That should be 3 games. So cheap and to the head. Same with the Pacioretty headshot on Girard.
I like tough hockey, but not cheap hockey, that Vegas has gotten away with for a few years now. |

Could see that crap coming a mile away. He should be done for the series plus a couple into next season. Vulnerable player head targeted and an injury. |

Any refs out there?
That was two minor and a major penalty - 9:00 man advantage. Does the major penalty count off the clock first? I expected that the Avs would still be on the PP after the goal. |

I thought minors run first. Then the major. |

So shouldn’t they have still been on the PP then? It was 9 min in PP with just over 10 min left on the clock. |

Concurrent? Regardless it's BS if it is. |

Good catch. I missed that. I'll try to find something because I always thought the minors were first. |

It was 7:45 from penalty call to goal. Anyway, nice to see the Knigits get a beat down. |

The fix as I see it is get good defensive D for the right side. Compliment the offensive lefties.
Cheaper way to go if the UFA market. Eg Savard saves assets. - Nighthawk

Well that makes sense then. - 1970vintage
I was trying to remember the last time I saw a 9 minute PP. It's been a really long time. Hope they throw the book at Reeves. Kneeing a guy in the head while he's down like that is really dangerous. So much so that even the UFC made it an illegal strike. |

Depends on ppl’s definition of short cut. Early on his mandate was a retool. Moving on. Trying to be competitive should always be a GM’s job. We still got good picks.
Miller was top 6 need.
Myers same thing for RHD
Ferland was a minor gamble.
Schmidt was cheap giving a 3rd.
-Edler isn’t getting younger
-young left side
All other bottom 6 UFA’s the term was 1yr too long. The poor value here has been problematic. - Nighthawk
We didnt need Myers
He sucks

I find it confusing that you can't read between the lines when I say something about midgets and I mention height and weight.
Yes, that means I consider Elias, a 6'2 170 lb player a midget in terms of men playing hockey.
The other point that I usually mention, that you don't seem to grasp is, you can't have a team full of small/light players, without getting manhandled on a nightly basis, which usually results in the other team winning. - Reubenkincade
I did learn this valuable lesson in Nintendo Ice Hockey, too many skinny guys is no good. Still think our skilled players not being huge is not a big deal. There's a few examples of this working out. |

Could have kept Tanev and Stecher. Even though no one wanted to keep either of them.
