Top 6 looks solid, got a franchise goalie, got a great PPQB, got a solid all around top 4 dman in Myers.

Cap space freed up over the next 2 off-seasons.

Just needs to fill a couple of holes and this team will make some noise

No no. Nucker we like to focus on the overpriced vets

Get D better defensively & yes

I agree. Need to upgrade on the panic dump giraffe. Hopefully the kraken take him with low draft pick

Pretty hard not to focus on them, there are at least 10 of them taking up about 46 million in capspace.

As noticed by Chatfield and Rafferty this season, Myers is still needed. Just have to find a partner to carry his ass on the 2nd pairing. Someone who doesn't get pinned in his own end every 2nd shift to balloon his minutes.

You want to put defensively terrible with defensively terrible? Might as well save your 1st round pick, Schmidt and Lind

Myers will be protected, that’s why they gave up a draft pick for Bowey.

Even better, don’t have Myers on the team and get someone that doesn’t have to be carried.

It’s like there is a fountain of youth for overpriced vets. They keep being renewed.

Given cap/talent issues, it will help immensely if Vasily Podkolzin can step into third line for Canucks next season. But don’t sleep on possibility of Will Lockwood earning a spot behind him. Looked good in late-season cameo and team needs speed and tenacity.

I think Lockwood has earned a longer look next season. He plays with sandpaper something that is badly needed, especially on the bottom 6

Yup. Keep defensively terrible Hughes and defensively terrible Myers off each others line.

Of defensive pairs that played over 100 minutes together this season.
Hughes and Myers 3GF 14GA 17.65%

The next lowest.
Edler and Chatfield 5GF 8GA 38.46%

Myers was over 50% on 4 other pairs with Benn, Rathbone, Juolevi, Schmidt. 3 of those players played sheltered minutes for most of the season.

He is off to Abbotsford next season to see how he does against other teams top lines that aren't on the taxi squad. He would really have to blow up camp for him to stay.

If Podkolzin, Lockwood, Lind all make the team in some way, Benning will perhaps have finally given in to patience. But he will also have recognized that this isn’t a playoff team.

If they’re able to overhaul the right hand side, then having Schmidt, Hughes, and Rathbone as the left is pretty good.

Well after watching the Colorado Vegas high lites it’s quite obvious that Vegas is really missing Schmidt

If they make the team, they are most likely deserving. There is already 16 forwards that could make the team.

Add a cheap Dman with experience like Jason Demers.

Mike Reilly has been steady 3rd pairing guy this season.

NYI are in cap troubles. Nick Leddy has one year left at 5.5. He would probably be enough to carry Myers on a 2nd pairing. Probably get him for real cheap. If he doesn't work out all that great, trade him at the TDL.

No no. We don't want one year over paid guys. We want 5 or 6 year term deals. 6 x 6 Marc Savard come on down!

Hopefully Edler is gone and we can round out the second pairing with Myers.

Schmidt-Hughes

Luke Hughes - Rathbone?

Good grief, hey let’s complain to just complain, this is actually pathetic.

Complain about no media clips, where is JB, hiding from the media.

Benning makes available himself to media, oh oh JB hiding behind his daughter.

Team signs coach, working on signing others, inks Podkolzin to contract, oh, oh club is pathetic for announcing Anything positive.

Reubenkincade is spot fucking on, this fan base gets what it deserves, (frank)ing pathetic and middle school antics.

You can't really have the two softest lefties on your top line.

Nor what would Green do with 4 lefties. I'm pretty sure CHL teams would laugh at that defence.
