Linden on Global TV this morning. Haven’t watched if anyone would like to create coles notes.

Martin Necas was scoring at .49 in the Czech league and is now scoring at .63 and rising in the NHL.

Czech league for younger players over the past decade is producing better players into the NHL than the Liiga and AHL.

- manvanfan

Fair enough, but I assume that might’ve been a case where a young player was playing behind established vets. I wonder if that’s the case for Plasek?

But I think it’s safe to say AHL > Czech league

Miller is a powerforward by today’s lowered standards as well, he doesn’t fight but throws hits. Those 2 in the top 6 will bring a nice element.

Guys like Hog/Bo/Pearson aren’t exactly lightweights or afraid to go to the net either

- Nucker101

Not the bruisers they used to be. Van's bottom 6 has been pretty soft at times. Motte leading the way but he just doesn't bring any size with him. Would be nice to find a player with his speed and willingness at 6'2" 200 lbs at least. Like Virtanen but without the laziness.

Probably promoting prescription lenses and gym memberships

Glad Benning doesn’t have to answer to him anymore

I agree, some more size and tenacity from the bottom 6 is needed. Injuries derailed Sutter and Roussel and Virtanen also wasn’t the same forechecker after his shoulder issues.

Is JB dumb enough to outbid everyone?
- VanHockeyGuy

Golfing beat him to it. But that said those are the only RSD available that can step in and make a true top pairing.

Unlike snob Pietrangelo Canucks actually have a shot at getting one. Trading out Nate solves cap hit on taking 1 of them.

When he's not pouting and decides to play with a modicum of giving a f*ck.

Pretty sure Green/Benning are on record saying that he cares just as much as any other player

Here's a study.

When hockey wasn't playing I was watching a ton more Euro hockey than I normally do.

From watching all of the different leagues, it looks really close to the results in 5.

The VHL was not what I expected from the second tier in Russia. It was a better game the NCAA.

Sutter has never been tough. Roussel had the willingness and after some rehab hopefully he comes back stronger and can contribute at 10-12 minutes a night. He was a regular 20 plus point guy before coming to Van.

No, he was on talking about the twins potentially joining the team as executives. At least partly.

Interesting. I just skimmed that article but the results are a little surprising. Will read it more thoroughly later.

Sutter was never a tough guy but he was a good skater and didn’t mind going to the net. Soft tissue injuries have really worn him down. I don’t think Roussel will ever bounceback 100% from that injury/surgery, I really liked his game before that.

A healthy Roussel and Ferland really would’ve made a huge difference in this lineup

What is embarrassing is how you keep bringing up the same 5 players.
- Reubenkincade

Ya, i really didn't start with 2 and then expand my list. Or no wait, that's exactly what i did!

Fun fact: average hieght of nhl forwards is going down the last 5 straight years.

More names:
Gaudreau
Jack hughes
Stutzle
Spurgeon
Ellis

Having big slow teams is over. The list of guys under 5'11 in the show is only getting longer

Can you imagine paying $8,000 and then watching your team lose.

He would be doing that in BC not MB in August. I couldn't tell you what the rules will be in August in BC.

MB current lockdown will be reviewed in a week I believe. Can't say where it will go from there.

MB has started 2nd doses.

I have friends here in Sayulita from MB, they’ve postponed their return because of what’s going on.
I was only kidding about the quarantine, person gets tested so much before being let back in to Canada, that majority should be ok.

Leafs apparently approved for a big home crowd tonight. 550 people apparently.
