I don’t think he indicated that at all. In fact, he mostly just rambled. - 1970vintage
Rambling man JB reveals more than he knows. Remember he got fined for Hab tampering and after PK got traded. |

My second part asked Don if 2 years was enough. You seemed to be saying the Sedins weren't coming in to take over. So now you agree how long will it take for them? Remember there's nothing faster than learning from mistakes. - NuckUp
I dont think they are going in with the intention of one day being general managers. I think they are probably bored with retirement, like a ton other players, and want to get back into pro hockey in some way.
The canucks hired Ryan Johnson 7 years ago as director of player personel and now he's GM of the their AHL team. There is a ton to learn and I don't think the path to an NHL GM job is as black and white as some think.

What’s the point? Not even you are elite enough to be among the 2500 in attendance. It would be like being the only couple in a 40 seat restaurant #noatmosphere - 1970vintage
Imo if you have had at least one vaccine dose you should be admitted. No restrictions on amount of fans. In the states you don’t need the vaccine at all to
Attend games! And covid is plummeting. I went to the Suns Lakers game for $2,000. I don’t like
Bastketball but I did it just to be in a stadium full of fans. Well worth it |

I did. I find it's still a massive reach. The sedins have zero management experience, are going in blind, and to think or say they are being prepped to co-manage the franchise for when Benning is done (2 years) seems absurd. I don't think Benning would want to intentionally or even unintentionally put that sort of expectation or benchmark on them. - Codes1087
Completely agree. I heard basically they are being grromed for management roles, as in start low and then be given agm or head of scouting like positions. Doesn't mean two and then the top or that he is training his replacements. I see this as they are adding to the current staff, which os a very good thing forna brutally understaffed organization |

Well I think wearing pants should be optional but the looks I get out on the street... until they change the rules I will continue to wear pants, a mask, and I won’t be in a stadium full of people. We are having friends over for wine and snacks next week, or the week after, I forget now. But that will be the first social visit in more than a year! |

You think overachieving Sedins will just stay in support roles? |

NB is planning on opening everything up completely with no restrictions Aug. 2nd as long as 75% vaccinated with all restrictions lifted as the third phase of path to green. https://www2.gnb.ca/conte...levels/path-to-green.html |

How did they overachieve? I mean they were highly touted well before they were drafted in the top 5.
Did they win too many scoring titles or cups? I'm a huge fan but overachievers? That would be Alex Burrows. |

Carol's blog is leaning the other way. I don't know the timeline for their elevation but the Sedins take commitments serious. Saying they are bored is the exact opposite of not coming for desk jobs.
Though by saying the path to NHL GM is not black and white actually opens up unconventional methods. So the possibility of Sedins getting exposure to all aspects of hockey ops and business could be their path to the top. |

Draft position wasn't the marker as I'll remind you the most touted 1OL busted out of the league. Yes Burrows had an amazing climb. That doesn't take away how the Sedin's worked their way up to dominate the league for a spell. |

The most touted 1st overall was Lemieux, he didn't exactly bust. Neither have more recent guys like Crosby, McDavid.
Top 5 picks becoming scoring champions is called achieving, not overachieving. |

You're tanget is ignoring it was a sh!t draft year that's why Burkie was able to wheel and deal.
Nobody expected them to be generational players, like you mentioned, let alone one day dominate the league. |

It's first dose, just like bc is contingent on 70% for the july 1st step. |

Thanks Carol. There's a portion of so called fans blinded by hate that positives are only achieved through scorched earth. Why you only see them posting "reductio ad absurdum", where you take a comment to the absurd extreme and then use that absurd extreme as your proof of opinion. - NuckUp

Meh, decent chance especially as we get more doses. They have the ability to administer at least 13-15K doses per day, in 70 days that should do it. Kids under 12 don't count in those numbers. |

That's fair and bases of first post query. If 2 years is too soon does that mean FA will extend JB or bring in someone else willing to look over their shoulders? |

They weren't generational players nor did they dominate the league as you call it. They would have been taken 1st and 2nd overall except they insisted on playing together, that's why Burke was able to wheel and deal. |

We're over 60% with the first shot so i'm pretty sure even 10K a day gets us there. |
