Absolutely. Ask CBJ for permission to talk extension with him before you commit any assets though. He's exactly the type of player that would turn around the timeframe of our rebuild. You absolutely need to move Myers or Schmidt in the deal I would say.

Agreed. Imagine how a top pairing of Hughes and Jones would look? They'd be good for 25+ minutes a night for sure and it wouldn't be too much strain of Jones because QH would alleviate the need for Jones to do it at both ends somewhat.
I'd probably stop bashing Benning.......at least for a little while.

If Benning could dump Schmidt and somehow end up with Jones,that would be fantastic.
Jones with Rathbone could be an excellent top pairing in a season or so.
It would also free them up to dump Queenie, for a defenseman that defends and could pair with Myers.
