I agree Barzal needs to be better but it's going to be very difficult to win a Cup with Leo as 1LW. You need two other star forwards if Leo is going to be on the 1st line and Eberle is not a star.

Leo doesn't stop barzal from finishing a check or being a perimeter player or being hesitant out there. He wasn't like that last year so whatever the issue is its on barzal

It's no secret what I think of Larry Brooks, but I actually agree with one point he's making in the article. Barzal's line without Lee is no longer the Isles' 1st line. Maybe things could have been different if Trotz had left Palmieri on the line longer and Barzal could have developed chemistry with him. But it didn't happen, and teams are focusing more on Nelson's and Pageau's lines.

None, Colorado have McKinnon landeskog raantanan and Makar amd a solid surrounding cast and solid goaltending. I'd say tamp with point, Stamkos, Kucherov and Hedman are right there and Boston with their top line and macavoy

If we are being honest Colorado has a cake walk if they play the north after to go to the cup. Boston tampa Carolina or the isles are all.much tougher matchups

Isles can take all the notes they want. They are not in the same league talent wise as Colorado. There is a reason the Isles PP has struggled even with multiple coaches.

As ses mentioned, not sure goalie is the question. Team plays like that in front of anyone they lose. Can’t let Pasta score 3 goals in one game. They shut off Crosby, they can shut off pasta. Gave him way too much time and space. He’ll keep scoring no matter who’s in net if they keep it up. Hopefully they have a response tomorrow night.

sOrOkin played well and deserves another start. The only reason Trotz would play Varly tonight is to give the team a kick in the nuts.

I have no issue if Varly plays. Isles should be in good shape in goal with either player.
