funny you should say this Wedgie... I've been very calm and almost disinterested since the end of game 5...

I guess the reality is that I know what the outcome is likely to be and I'm just starting to not care anymore.

You couldn't do that in years past... when you were vested in guys like Wendel and Gilmour and the Sundin lead teams - where there was so much emotion shown game in game out by the players. I guess at the end of the day ... the kids now just simple don't know how to "get to another level" or perhaps aren't willing to take themselves there.

To be honest, I have been running around all day doing errands (took the day off to golf, then my game got cancelled). I haven’t been thinking about the game.

I totally agree that it’s not the same as Dougie and Wendel - but that’s 99% my age. It’s just not as important to me now as it was when I had more time and less responsibility.

maybe some of it is age and the typical responsibilities that go along with it... but I do think a part of it is the now decades of disappointments.

I actually think its a bit funny seeing the younger aged fans getting all up in arms about the "last five years of disappointments"... I sincerely hope that Dubas has the stones to walk into the dressing room and say something - and that he isn't simply going to allow them to believe that is okay to "not be prepared to start on-time"... that garbage that Marner spewed out... well that's inexcusable if its true.
