I'm not a Marner doubter as much as I'm a Marner non believer to begin with. Playoff hockey is all heart, and I think he showed just where his heart is when he went through his contract negotiation.

There's no doubt he has high talent and wow moments, but he's heartless at the end of the day and it's why he disappears when the going gets tough.

Tough generalization for a player that finished tied for 4th in league scoring and won at every level (except AHL - where unlike suck my Kotkaniemi, he never played) He was the MVP on a championship team. I want him on the Leafs, just want him to play better and forget the cute little back passes to avoid contact.

Marner was the second player (after Brad Richards in 2000) ever to win a Memorial Cup, a Stafford Smythe Memorial Trophy, CHL Player of the Year, a league MVP trophy (Red Tilson Trophy) and a league playoff MVP trophy (Wayne Gretzky 99 Award) in the same season.

Marner should have been the first guy on this team who was like wow... This is my hometown team and they need to see what a cup looks like. Rich is rich, gimme the Draisaitl contract and use that extra money somewhere else. Instead, he has happy to hold the team over a barrel for every possible (frank)ing cent.

Yeah but if I'm being completely honest, I don't care. I believe the team would have been just as successful this year with a 4-5 million dollar winger in his spot, and that's what matters in the end. Not individual success.

Leafs need to blitz the Habs defense tonight. Force them to move the puck quicker and pounce on turnovers. The Leafs also need to crowd Price, around the blue paint. Screen shots, rebounds, whatever it takes. Trying to score off of the rush on this guy is suicide. Time to get down and dirty. It should have happened in game 5.

Living in Eastern, Ontario, it will be impossible to deal with the local Habs fans, if we lose. They already have their built in bullsh!t excuse if they lose, with the Leafs having a better team and finishing first. Eichel seems like a douche for sure. But he's also been stuck in poophole Buffalo in a terrible losing environment for his entire career. He genuinely seems concerned about winning/being competetive. I think once he's moved (anywhere) he'll probably seem like less of a cancerous douche.
