I swear to god Seagull.

I've seen some amazing goaltenders coming and going in Montreal.

Price is right up there with Patrick Roy in my book.

The way this guy moves, considering his size, is insane to me.

The way he always, always finds another gear when the playoffs come.

I truly hope he wins a cup one day. If it's not in Montreal, than like Hasek did with a powerhouse Detroit team.

Guy deserves it.

I'm only providing insight, I'm a dispassionate fan

If Shanny wants changes to happen does he trust Kyle to make huge trades after he already entrusted Kyle to sign players, FA's, trade picks and prospects.... resulting in failure? I can't imagine so.

The media response to this and how that affects Shanny also plays a part, even though every GM says it doesn't they are lying.

- Mr_Smokey

well - this is the essential question...

does Shanny have the stones to fire Dubas if Dubas refuses to move Marner?

Matthews needed to cash, bottom line. But it's a lot tougher for him to do that when his winger kills a high percentage of scoring chances and isnt even a smidge of scoring threat.

I'll argue all day, Marner neutered Matthews all series. The coach refusing to separate them is madness. Babcock stuff. 🤦🏻‍♂️

NYJ are still a bigger joke but Leafs wouldn't be far off.

Marner for Eichel

But frankly, I don’t care where he goes, just as long as he doesn’t stay here.

- Steven_Seagull

don't think Eichel solves ANY problems in Toronto... if available going after Jones would make far more sense.

congrats on victory... team bought into the solid defense thing and stuck with it.

Price was good .. although in Game 7 the Leafs were pathetic offensively- don't think Price had to work very hard for this particular victory.

bonne chance against Winnipeg

Refs are always brutal in the playoffs, they put the whistles away and then suddenly call a penalty when they feel like it.

Y’all should hold your heads up high, this was a true battle between two bitter rivals. I expected nothing less. This is not the final page in this story for the leafs. They will be back with a vengeance. Thank you for a great series.

Well, I just spent 2 hours reading through the comments 🤣 It's honestly embarrassing to be a Leafs fan ATM but whatever, I have become accustomed to it.

Alot of trade Marner talk which I'm sure will be a consideration this summer unless management somehow thinks this core can figure it out. I would hate to see him go without a stud D coming back our way. Yeah he has a horrendous playoff resume but he is and will be a top 10 point getter in this league for the foreseeable future. GM's will be drooling over him. Cap will probably be a issue but GM's seemed to have figured out ways to 3rd party Cap to get deals done.

This summer will make or break Dubas, I still have faith in him, he's been on the wrong end of players not living up to potential in trades & signings.

Keefe needs a lesson on in game adjustments. AM & MM should have been split 3 games ago.

Looking forward to see how it all plays out.

Go Leafs Go 2022👌🔥

Am and MM post game-we got our chances just couldn’t bury them. Reilly-It’s too soon to make any assessment. No ONE other than campbell took any responsibility. Culture still sucks in TO.

It really is as simple as getting rid of the GM and coach & Shanahan and trading Matthews + for McDavid.

Mr. Arrogant Smirk has an attitude problem.
13 goals in 32 playoff games for a player that is supposed to be an elite goal scorer is not enough. especially when most of these games he didn't have to play opponents' top lines.

Hyman - Tavares - Marner is a good topline.
Leafs should keep a few other young FWs (the ones with heart) and get rid of Matthews, Nylander and others that don't have the right mentality.

Keep Rielly, Sandin and Liljegren on D - rest is replaceable as well.

As said in the past, this photo said it all about what the state of mind of our 'new cool management team' was - very low bar and never focused on the real objective...

Kyle can go to Arizona and take Keefe and Nylander with him.

Well.

(frank) this team. I honestly dont care who they trade as long as they get close to fair value back.

yup, I agree with you.
only players I would truly hate to see go would be Hyman and to a lesser extent Muzzin and JT. the character guys. (Kerfoot made a very good case for himself to stay as well).

It was never going to work with this soft core and 'new style hockey' management.
to some extent it is good that leafs again out in the first round, since the pressure to make some real changes is now bigger.

a new GM and coach would need to sit down and decide which persons (character traits) they want on this team - to some extent independent from their hockey qualities.

If the outcome is to keep Nylander and Marner, so be it.
if it would be Marner and Nylander, so be it.
Same if only Matthews.

But some true work needs to be done.

If Vegas can reach the finals with leftovers from the other 30 teams, then a good GM should be able to deal for the right players in order to make the team much more competitive.

examples of players that would fit in based on character:
- Couturier
- Barkov
- Hintz
- Faksa
- Landeskog
- etc. etc.

Some might not be as good as our 'top players' -- but they definitely have better character and will to win.
