I know there are lots of people that will take great joy from seeing another Leaf collapse. But, there may be bigger issues at hand. This is not good for Leaf fans. But it is not good for hockey in Canada. Saturday night was the largest HNIC audience in history. But everything is now toast.
This is different. Not only have folks turned off the tv for the rest of the playoffs, I expect there are many who will not turn it back on for NHL hockey come October.
The Leafs have the largest following of any NHL team. Just as important they are the leagues most hated villains. It makes for great marketing. But pathetic does not sell. Your own fans become embarrassed. The worst part is when the opposing fans start to feel sorrow for you. It is not good for anyone. |

As said in the past, this photo said it all about what the state of mind of our 'new cool management team' was - very low bar and never focused on the real objective...
Kyle can go to Arizona and take Keefe and Nylander with him.

Wayne train seems to have his best years behind him. Had a handful of good games at the start of the season, then nothing much. I was always hoping for more based on his reputation. Didn't see it in the playoffs. - leafsfann
That happened before he left Philly, let alone his cups of coffee elsewhere. He’s been done. Everyone kept thinking they could squeeze some blood from that stone. Not so much.
As for some of the other players Leafs fans are screaming about, I get it. They didn’t produce. They left you incredibly frustrated, and rightfully so. Been there. It’ll make you tear your hair out.
Totally sucks.
Most of the rest of us would sure love a shot with some of those guys, tho. |

Pretty sure the water will be tested with Marner.
Normally it would be Nylander whos name is being thrown around, but he actually showed up for the series.

First goal in this series was huge. Habs had a simple plan ..trust Price and those Big D. Take away the ice and hope to score first. It worked.
The Leafs:
Regular season ...61g in 56 first periods ...lead the league.
Playoffs ...1g in 7 first periods ....
Pretty much the same script CLB was able to execute. |

exactly, as the series went on, it just became a carbon copy of BJs, game 5 OT loss was the dagger the Leafs needed to wither away again

That's what happens when you cheer for the franchise that is the biggest joke in all of pro sports.

This was so expected.
For one game in this series, i bought into this fools gold but still, in the back of my mind knew it was a mirage.
This doesnt hurt at all, it sucks because of who they choked to,but its exactly what was expected
The core needs to be changed.
Clean house, you have to get rid of the stench of failure.
Everyone blamed the old coach, most blamed Andersen or kadri. Different coach, different goalie, kadri looks to possibly win a cup elsewhere. But same leafs failure
This was so predictable, but now at least the homers will stfu.
Ugh, the two teams i cheer for are clusterfacks.
One is the embarrassment of a league and city, the biggest chokers ever. The other, is just a fack up.
Ah well. |

I thought it was enough. Turns out he wasn't the warrior Dubas thought he was getting. I personally think he's injured.
Anyway, thus reminds me of Washington never going anywhere for years but we shall see.
I wouldn't be surprised if they come back with the same core one more time. No Andersen and maybe no Rielly though. |

Well, he taught Perry a lesson for his hit on JT.
After that lesson, Perry only averaged a point per game I think. |

I have no idea how this shakes out. If shanny/Dubas/Keefe are back, then I agree. we go again.
I would just trade Rielly..and see whats out there for Mitch |
