Probably, yeah. I don't even know how well the numbers add up. I know I've been watching playoffs with some friends over Zoom. I have cable, as does another two guys, two guys have Android boxes, one guy has an HD antenna and a couple just stream it from NHL TV.

It does create some chaos in timing when we're talking about a play. One of the guys streams from Texas and they are routinely at least a minute behind us on cable - and the guy with the HD antenna is about 7 seconds ahead of the cable feed. The android boxes are usually over a minute behind.

In my experience, these Player X is "better than" or "as good as" Player Y arguments are never worth the energy exploring for any number of reasons.

Their are obviously tiers in the league of guys that are widely acknowledged to be a level above... but most all of us know who and what those guys are and more obviously who aren't ... that's all my point was.

Marner has been aggressively terrible this playoff while Nylander has elevated his game.

It's not entirely shocking that Mitch has faced hyperbolic criticism. I kind of think he's over-thinking his game and is, if anything, trying too hard to be better when he really just needs to be his usual self and do his usual magical things.

I don't think Dubas has done a bad job per se, but he hasn't done exceptional.
For the Leafs GM, only exceptional level should be expected, not 'okay-ish'.

Dubas brought in Campbell, Muzzin, Spezza, Foligno, Simmonds, Thornton, Brodie, Bogosian and Tavares and a lot of depth at every single position... If the Leafs lose, it's not on Dubas..

Yeah definitely not shocking that there's been hyperbolic criticism. It's just a great juxtaposition because Leaf fans don't stop to consider that Marner's fortunes might turn even as their previous scapegoating target is now the golden boy. It's perfect.
