Or, this core is wrong. Look at the Av’s or TBL or others where the stars are playing like stars. The balance part without JT and by getting nothing from Foligno (he must have still be hurting).

I would call our defence good, but not championship calibre. Montreal's offence is weak.

I couldn't say changing the core and riding the same structure is wrong, but to me... There's too much saying it would be a waste of a not very big window to find out.

My Habs fan friends are absolutely (frank)ing loving Marner. I got an oiler fan friend that crawled out of his depression purely to poop on what a plug Marner is.

When Marner had, yet another, stupid Puck Over the Glass penalty in Game 6, he was nearly crying in the penalty box and Nylander had to talk to him.

No because that would be another version of the leafs only caring about social justice wins. Or something like that.

marner will stay on the team. dubas will bring in depth pieces like Janmark,Soderberg,etc. and roll with the same core group again.

Assuming Dubas is still GM, he is not going to make a trade just for the sake of it.

The biggest blame for this is their powerplay. You can,t win in the playoffs with such a bad powerplay, the other team is not scared to take penalties.
Montreal made sure Matthews was covered and thats all it took.
Needed to change it up and thats on the coaching staff mostly.

I know the sky is falling, but Marner has tremendous value and there will be lots of takers. We need a different type of player, like a Tkachuk or a d-man.

I said Huberdeau/Weegar. No one told me to (frank) myself so maybe that's not so unrealistic.

I also said Marner/Rielly for Draisaitl/Kassian and managed to make it out unscathed.

I'll just quit while I'm maybe a little ahead.

Imagine having a GM for your NHL franchise that thinks that it is better to trade a 1st and 2 fourth rounders for a washed up over the hill injured 3rd liner over a 2nd round pick and a decent prospect for a former Hart trophy winning 1st line winger that is 4 years younger.
