I believe those were Bob's mid-season rankings. - Reubenkincade
Yes, he still has to do his final rankings though. Central Scouting North American Skaters has McTavish at #2 and Johnson at #3. All over the map which may be a good thing if we sit at 9.

Those rules come into effect next year, not this year. Any team can win it this year.

Ya I think a lot of people are confused about it. If you realize the system is broken, why not just fix it right away? Why are they waiting a year to implement changes for the better? Very NHL of them. |

I'm wondering, if we get 2OA, do we trade back with Seattle (4 or 5OA) for them to take a contract off the books? |

It's part of Bettman's master plan to f*ck over Canadian teams. |

Great just what the world needs. Another Guitar player. Just kidding. They grow up fast. My best advice is if she's serious about music to put her into something where she learns some theory and to read it while she's young. Doesn't have to be Guitar because her hands will be small until she gets older and fretting might be frustrating. - Load Management
Hey...lol
Ya we are looking into a smaller learning instrument and lessons for when she is a bit older. Pretty special time right now every day is a gift with her. |

I think JB would be all over Power in the event we got #2. His infatuation with big defenceman.

I think Power is the number 1 choice. Hence my thought if we were picking 2 |

Power is going 1oa. I hope he would be all over him if we win the lotto. |

Despite a couple obvious misses, due to muddying circumstances, and Jim Benning's general stupidity, arrogance, obesity & lack of skills to perform his job, his drafting has been top shelf. Now, he has had preferred selection spots, however, his drafting has been pretty damn good. |

At 2.4%, the worst possible odds. Reverse Lottery win, another FU from the NHL.

How's the whack-(frank) going these days? I sold my Mizuno's and bought a set of Honma's....wow, they're sweet!! The guy swingin them, not so much, can't seem to put a front and back together. Seven over 44 yesterday on the front, one under 34 on the back....WTF |

Precisely why a lottery win for ONCE would be a good thing. Put him in a position to do some gun slinging if he so chooses.

Would rather he win and pick. His gun slinging is usually more "shoot himself in the foot" type than "hit bullseye" type. |

A guy like Jim Rutherford would probably take some heat off JB.

Ya, saw that the other day that the Penguins were letting teams talk to him. I wonder if he'd be a fit here. Would prefer someone a bit.... younger?... current?... new age?
But he would bring credibility and some semblance of steadiness to this organization. |

It doesn't have to be him, someone like him. Maybe it's Ryan Johnson after JB's 2-3 more years are up?

Agreed.
I guess the reasoning for keeping Coyotes in the lottery would be to keep the odds lower for the teams rated 12-16, then.
It is the only realistic reason I can think of. |

Hey man wow went to the Honma's hey? Hopefully they work out for you I see Justin Rose went full Honma then he couldn't get back to Taylormade fast enough lol. I'm playing my best golf with my Mizuno MP5s still no inkling to change just yet. Driving the ball very well right now. I did the three ball comparison with the new TP5 vs the Titleist 'left dash' Prov1X vs the new Callaway LS Low spin x ball. Gotta say the Callaway is impressive pretty much just as long as the ProV and TP5 and just as workable. Not sure I'm a big fan of the Taylormade TP5 decent off the tee but too much side spin. The Titleist is still pretty much the best ball.
I went with the Epic Flash 3 wood massive off the tee but sucks off the turf lol. Might go back to the PING 425 for a three wood. Need those turf shots and most three woods don't cut it.
But overall been playing to the handicap was 8 over this past Sunday for an 80. But shot 78 (39-39) the week before that so it's coming around. Just need to hit the ball closer to the hole and make some f*ucking birdies lol.
Tough game. Hope you are well bro. |

Not that I know a lot about him, but he's 72 years old, which lends itself to him being a bit more "old school" in approach.
Someone like Yzerman or Sakic seem to have a better finger on the pulse of what the "modern" NHL is.
Again, I'm just guessing as I haven't done much research into his philosophy or what his role is/could be. Maybe he'd be great? I have no clue. |

I think it's unlikely they hire experienced NHL executives based on the Aquilini's history.
