He played 1 game and looked rusty. It hasn't been on Campbell, he had a .944 sv % coming into the game I believe. I certainly would not have inserted a rusty Anderson into a game 7 where he hasn't exactly excelled.

I've been wondering about this for a minute, but why in hockey is the there an emphasis on 'not making excuses' when they clearly impact on a team?

It's like some weird break from reality where we acknowledge that a lot of luck goes into a SC win (matchups, health, getting hot, etc), but then refuse to look at the same factors when a team loses...anyways, back to the collapse.

That's why included the last 3. I don't even use losing Freddie as an excuse because he really hasn't been great in the playoffs....or at least he's been outplayed. I think he was actually pretty good last year.

Losing Tavares clearly hurts, he's been one of the top scorers in the league for a decade. Losing possibly your best actual defender doesn't help even though that's not an excuse as they should have won the series by now.
